If you don’t want to change provider, there are three options:

Book the option for CHF 1.90/month and the advertising will be gone

    or

Use an email program like Outlook or Thunderbird (freeware) (my recommended solution)

    or

Use an ad blocker (personally, I’m not a fan of this)

  • Instead of webmail, use a locally installed mail program (Windows Mail, Outlook or Thunderbird) and you’ll get rid of all the advertising magic and have even more advantages….

  • Advertising on webmail makes email use impossible

  • I use a notebook with a 17″ screen. With the huge advertising blocks that have recently been displayed, it is impossible for me to use the email inbox properly, because I can only see a few lines. A sensibly proportioned advertising bar would be quite tolerable for me, but The way SWISSCOM is doing it is a huge harassment and a very nasty scam to force customers to pay by email. This is the absolute opposite of honest and customer-friendly business conduct!!

As is so loosely written in many community posts, “then just switch to another email product” is not that easy at all. My email addresses are known to countless people, companies and offices, etc., so I can hardly consider changing.
