I like having the new Swisscom Hardware. However, I cannot have Box 4 internet (I have 3) because I am only on copper (fiber unavailable).

On the other hand, how much does this TV Box 5 cost? Because I could order it and change my Box 21.

I can’t answer you yet about the price.

But on the other hand you can very well give your box 21 to someone without worry; This person will just need to do a reset with a pointed object inserted into the small black hole marked Reset. She will do this when she is connected to her home. This will erase all your data and reload the latest software available and load all the data she had on her current box. She will find her favorites, her recordings, etc.

If you are afraid of giving away your box with your data, you can also do a reset WITHOUT BEING CONNECTED to your network and this will already erase your data.

I have the IP2000 box older than the TV 21 so I’m going to change to the new TV 5 box

What are the connections at the back of this box? Is it capable of reading the ripped formats of my Bluray 4k HDR (around 80mbits/sec)? I wanted to buy an Nvidia Shield PRO or a Zidoo Z20 pro but if this model can play hdr10, hdr10+, dolby vision, dts:x and dolby Atmos formats, it would save me resources.

We will do a reset and see if it works (it seems to me so in another home) especially if she has activated Simply Digital she will not be able to ask to just activate the replacement of the Box. However, a Box is not linked to an order (in absolute terms someone could order 4 Boxes which they would give to friends to replace an old one 😉)

My 2020 high-end TV also refuses my high-end mobile to broadcast photos or music via Bluetooth (I connect it via HDMI)

ChromeCast should allow me to broadcast this directly without sending to the Cloud.

In short, it criticizes Swisscom a lot in many places, ok it’s no longer PTT Telecom neither for employees nor for customer service but I am proud to have a complete offer at Swisscom (of what my home can deliver to me in power)

No, old TV boxes do not have the same operating system. The TV box 5 uses a basic Android system.
