Wish you had faster Internet at home? The new 5G-enabled Internet-Booster will help you achieve Internet speeds of up to 1 Gbit/s. Read on to discover what the booster can do and how you can order it.


How the Internet-Booster 5G works

The booster is an Internet receiver that combines the existing Internet speed of your installed copper line with the fast 5G and 4G mobile network. It will make Internet speeds possible up to 600 Mbit/s or 1 Gbit/s from mid-2022, giving you faster Internet in your home office and when streaming videos or surfing, even when several devices are online at the same time. 


The booster is the Nokia FastMile 5G Receiver model, which won the Red Dot Design Award 2021.


Order the Internet-Booster 5G

To check if the Internet-Booster is available for your home address, visit The results will show if the booster is available. The Internet speed achievable with the booster can also be seen here and depends on the existing copper line and mobile phone reception at your address. 


Residential customers can use the 5G booster with the inOne home Internet subscriptions S, M and now also L. A one-time charge of CHF 149.– applies for the device with no further monthly costs for use. You can buy the booster from your nearest Swisscom Shop or, directly from My Swisscom (My products > Internet S/M/L) if you already have an Internet subscription. 


You can continue to use the previous Internet-Booster if you have this at home. However, only the new 5G-enabled booster is available for new purchases with immediate effect.


Setting up the Internet-Booster 5G

Installation is very simple: just mount the Internet-Booster on the outside of the window and connect it to the home router via a cable. This ensures the best mobile reception.
