Hi, I do. But it must be said that it is not recommended, because it is not yet ready. In addition, Swisscom does not authorize it at the moment.
On your TV box, press WPS behind it and do the same with the Internet Box before 2 minutes. The quality is not good (Freeze etc…) So if it doesn’t work, don’t complain
Having finally received my Internet Box, I tested connecting it directly via Wifi to the TV Box.
During the connection, I got a message saying that the WiFi signal strength was too weak even though there are only 4 meters between the 2 devices:smileysurprised:
The connection being established, I actually noticed that it is not yet ready: Some “misses” and pixelation of the image.
We can’t wait for Swisscom to sort this out quickly and notify us of this update.:robotfrustrated:
At least something that works very well, but it’s not my goal to add more devices. For the moment my 2 TV-Box are connected by cable to the Internet-Box. I am thinking especially of those who do not have the possibility of making a cable connection.
In addition, these kits are too expensive and I believe that the wifi connection between the 2 boxes should be possible without an additional kit.
It works well in Wifi between the 2.0 box and the Internet Box.
(erratum: it works no worse than wired in RJ45)
On the other hand, this type of TV Box 2.0 does not support hidden WiFi networks!
If I configure it in wifi with the visible network and then hide the wifi, the box loses the connection.
Which is a shame in 2014!!!!!
I really hope that Swisscom will bring TV 2.0 to maturity quickly…
Because there, with all the other problems, it’s really a test version.
Good morning,
It’s interesting what you say.
I would like it to work for me too, but…
Would it be possible to have more details?
Does it work with the other 2 TV-Box on?
Do you use it often (also to see the connection duration)?
Do you watch HD channels?
Are you on a fiber network?
Thank you in advance for your next answers.
Happy Sunday
Good morning,
Quick question regarding the connection of the duo connection kits.
I installed the 2.0 box last night and when initializing it asked me
from the associate to the internet box.
I assume that it is connected via wifi via the network card of the box and not
by the connection kits (hence a pixelated and frozen image at times since this morning)
Should I reset the TV box and reinstall everything while ignoring the step (wps button on the box)?
FYI, I have the latest Duo connection kits (the white ones)
I couldn’t find any documentation or the procedure to connect everything correctly
and it seems to me that the signal from the connection kits is more powerful than the Internet-Box / TV Box wifi.
Thanks in advance
Good morning
I made the direct connection this week after a lot of problems with my powerline installation.
For me it works well - I have the internet box with Vivo M (40Mb/s) 10 meters from the box in another room. It’s not 100% perfect but completely usable for now. Purchasing the official wireless connection remains a possibility if necessary but CHF198 is not negligible
I hope Swisscom formalizes this capacity of the box as soon as possible, as I said CHF198 in addition is too much
Hello everyone
Connecting the TV Box via wifi directly to the Internet Box doesn’t work, even from 20cm away!!!!!!!
In fact it works, but the image freezes, pixels appear…not cool.
I am very disappointed that Swisscom made me believe it and sold me Vivo. Especially since they know it well.
So, 2 solutions: increase the power of the wifi. But no guaranteed results.
or simpler buy the DIVOLO sockets at interdiscount and that works well. (Approximately 100 Frs for 2 sockets)
So
Good evening, I will switch to Swisscom TV 2.0. and I would like to know if a wireless connection is possible without accessories between the Internet-Box and the TV-Box 2.0. I currently have a Ruckus wireless system, if a wireless connection is not provided on the base hardware, can I use this Ruckus system as a wireless link? Thank you for your help
I just upgraded to TV 2.0 and tested it.
The wireless connection can be made directly between internet-box and TV-Box: simply do not connect the ethernet cable and launch a hardware search on the internet-box.
In the configuration of my apartment, it works flawlessly. 198.00CHF of wifi box saved!
At the same time, since it’s not documented by SC, I guess we shouldn’t complain if it doesn’t work correctly…
Good morning,
Apologies in advance if this question has already been asked:
When I hid the name of my Wlan network, my tv-box 2.0 no longer connected via wifi to the router. Is it normal to leave the name of my network visible so that my tv-box is connected via wifi to the router?
Thank you for your response
