Fibre optic installation in Savièse

I’ve been asking Swisscom about fibre-optic access for Savièse for over 2 years now. They tell me it’s happening all of a sudden, but I still don’t see anything coming. I’ve contacted Netplus, who are prepared to bring fibre to my flat for a much lower price. Is Swisscom struggling to establish itself in conquered territory? You read that Swisscom will give you 18 months’ notice about fibre optics? I don’t think I’ll be waiting another 2 years. We’re being taken for a ride, and the boat is going to sink for lack of patience.

    Out of curiosity, I did a test on the checker.
    I get the following results: Download max. 450 MB Upload max 100 MB.
    Can these values be considered as good?
    Is there a site where the results are more accurate?
    (Tired of writing my requests twice! Always this damn red message. “Sorry, a problem has occurred. Reload the page…”)

        Exactly, the values you have are good for a copper line.

        On the checker, you should see whether fibre optic is available and whether it will be available soon. If there’s no mention of it, it means that it won’t be available in the next year.

        As for the forum, with these red lines today, it’s a real pain. In that case, the best thing to do is to copy your text into a draft before sending it, just in case it doesn’t get through!

                Hello in our community, the community had also expanded. And Swisscom is allowed to use it.

                First you got a contract, then nothing worked for a while and then about 4 months later the appointment was made for the installation. .

                It was said in the summer during installation that it would go into operation at the end of the year.

                The municipality built from house to centre. First all the houses in the neighbourhood, then the distributor and on and on to the next larger distributor…..

                Around Christmas, the checker was updated because the municipality had sent the data to Swisscom.

                On 1.1.25 the connection was released in the Swisscom Checker and the order could be sent.

                There was no mention in the local newspaper or on the municipality’s website that the fibre optic network was now available for Swisscom.
