Log in blue TV every second day

  • Hello, my wife has an iPhone 8 with software 16.7.10. She can’t update to a higher version because it’s too old. For about two weeks now, she has had to log in to the “blue TV” app every other day. Do any of you know why? This is not necessary for the two iPads or the TV Box 5 (IP2300). One iPad is about 10 years old and I haven’t had to log in again for months.

On my iPhone (and iPad) the automatic update is also selected, but only some of the updates are done. I check every 2-3 days in the APP STORE app and find dozens of apps to update after pushing the screen down with a finger. It’s always been that way on all my successive devices.

It had 8.1.0 on it. Have now updated to 8.2.0. After closing the app completely, the loggin remains. Now I have to wait until my wife needs the app next time. And I will look into why the app is not updating automatically.

The functions “App downloads”, “App updates” and “In-app content” on the iPhone under “Settings, App Store” are all activated. I don’t know why the app wasn’t updated.

Thanks for the info and the guy. I’ve now seen that two apps on my iPhone have been waiting for an update for two and three days. I also read on the internet that it’s normal for it to take a few days. Will follow this up.

WalterB The error occurred again yesterday evening. The software is currently 8.2.0.1537815. In the Appstore under Account it says that the app was updated recently, or yesterday (23.12.24). I have to wait and see if the error occurs again.

WalterB Yesterday afternoon my wife didn’t have to log in to the BlueTV app on her iPhone. In the evening she was no longer logged in, just like on the old iPad. We were logged in on the new iPad. Strangely enough, the two devices that were logged off said “TV provider currently not available”. At the same time, we were logged in on the new iPad. My wife was also watching TV on the “TV-Box 5 IP2300”. In this case, the text “TV provider currently unavailable” must be incorrect. The devices then switched to the iPhone or iPad settings. But: The login must be done in the BlueTV app, not in the settings of the iPhone or iPad. Why does the BlueTV app switch to the iPhone or iPad settings? The software is now 8.2.1. Still the question: Why do we have to log in again and again? ☹

WalterB 4 devices. I know that. That’s why I don’t have the blueTV app installed on my iPhone. It’s a hassle when it has to log in because then I get a code. And if I’m not at home, it doesn’t have a code!

We have also forwarded this problem before with the suggestion that additional family members could be woven into the TV-ABo but nothing happened.

It was mentioned that under certain circumstances unexpected costs could arise, e.g. through video films, which would not have been caused by the main customer, etc.

As I said, we are also customers like you and me and we can’t do more than forward, some things will be improved and others will be left lying why exactly is written in the stars.
