Does this problem also occur for those who already have an Android update?

According to the hotline, which I finally reached after waiting 45 minutes, there is an official problem. We have to wait.

Hello @Anonymous

The previous version of TV-Box already ran with Google software. Nothing changes there. You don’t have to sign in to Google services if you don’t want to. You just won’t be able to install any additional apps from the Google Shop.

What if I don’t want to register with Google?

There are 2 things:

1. Terms of use: you have to accept these (but this is anonymous), otherwise you cannot use the box

2. Create a Google account (register): this is voluntary, you can still watch BlueTV. But you can’t install any other apps from the Goggle Playstore, for example.

By the way, if you have an Android phone, you already have a Google account - you can also use this for BlueTV 😉

I have a Swisscom Box IP 2000 connected and a Swisscom Box 21 still packed. To update both, do I have to connect both boxes to the router or connect them one after the other to the TV?

The IP2000 will be updated at a later date (not yet officially known).

The Box21 will soon receive the update (the timing cannot be controlled), of course it must be connected to the Internet - i.e. to the router. Of course, the TV also has to be connected, but not for the actual update, but only to display the update information. The update does not run automatically in the background, but requires a few interactions with the remote control according to the instructions on the screen

Apparently certain updates have been pushed back. At some point in the start menu there was something from September 14th, I think. Now it says from September 30th. I have a Samsung TV. Does that have something to do with that?!

Mine was also pushed back to September 30th, but according to the email it was intended for the round on September 23rd. I also have a Samsung TV, but I think that’s more of a coincidence 😉. I’m guessing they’re a little behind on the rollout so now everyone’s being pushed back a little.

It’s now September 30th for me and I have a Philips TV. I assume there is no connection.
