I myself have been with Hostpoint (a little more expensive because it includes web space) for twenty years now.

I’m at Infomaniak with the email. I’ve curbed all the private email. And because it was so fun, the registrar including dnssec, spf and dkim.

Didn’t really make me sweat on a Saturday lunchtime.

Email loss in words Zero, duration approx. 1.5 hours.
But even if you don’t have your own domain, there are other mail providers, such as Infomaniak, who offer an address for free.

I think this campaign is not annoying blue TV Air free customers like me, but rather those who have been with Swisscom for a long time and have been overwhelmed several times in the course of the email changes and actually only want to use webmail. So those who only understand train station in the first paragraph.

If anyone is still interested. Transfer mail section [https://www.tuxone.ch/2022/01/google-beendet-die-kostenlose-g-suite.html?m=1](https://www.tuxone.ch/2022/01 /google-terminates-the-free-g-suite.html?m=1)

For people who use Swisscom email for free without a Swisscom subscription, that would be absolutely understandable to me.

But if you bloody hell, I don’t know how much you pay for Swisscom Quadruple Play every month, it’s more than embarrassing if you have to shell out CHF 1.90 per month for ad-free webmail.

But the way I currently assess Swisscom, we can probably be happy that they didn’t decide on the “abolition of webmail” scenario, because that alone isn’t profitable at all.

I’m a little…

This afternoon I checked the webmail to see whether the ad had already been placed. Not yet, which is actually okay. When I was emptying my spam folder, I noticed that Swisscom’s spam filter is now deliberately filtering out subscribed newsletters from the competition (here an infomail from infomaniak).

I don’t find that sort of thing particularly amusing.

@CorinaS I know, you are just the “bringer” of this “great” news about the mail offers. But what Swisscom offers here is not at all nice. Please correct that!

@kaetho

Just take it easy -)-)-)

So the spam filter is definitely not intentionally targeting the competition, otherwise it wouldn’t occasionally move Swisscom’s own emails to the spam folder…

  • hed likes that.

@Werner are you sure about this? 😉 (OK, now it’s polemic. This probably doesn’t happen on purpose.)

The spam filter has been a nuisance for years, sometimes more, sometimes less. If, as some are already rumoring, nothing is done here despite the price increase, that is not okay.

Show original language (German)

As already written elsewhere, for this webmail, with this frontend and this spam filter and this user management, no price increase is justified….

If this round had finally presented a contemporary solution then the price increase would have been more than justified….

The only winners in this round are actually only the “light” mail users, who now have 5GB instead of 1GB mailbox…

One can only hope (weakly) that the new advertising revenue will flow into the creation of a modern email platform as quickly as possible….

I received the email today and I’m so “nasty” someone wrote down here!
My internet contract states that 5 email addresses are included.

Now “one” comes and says we will remove these email addresses from the contract and give it a nice new name and for that we will demand a new subscription!!!

No respect for long-term customers nor for the other…

The image of Swisscom is changing: same as the others, so why not go with the others if they are (much?) cheaper?

Your own fault…
The advertising doesn’t actually bother me, I have a “local client” for the mail and don’t see it: but the Swisscom method just doesn’t suit me.

I have taken note of this for the future.

    Hello Swisscom

    That can’t be true.

I’ve been paying for an overpriced Swisscom Internet / TV / Tel subscription for decades and the difference to other providers is not too small.

I am one of the people who pay for Swisscom and have not booked a free web email address.

Use webmail under tags in store. Can’t it be true that I have to pay even more for my paid subscription?

The next thing they will allow themselves will probably be the replay (ad-free surcharge) on TV.

It is now a reason for me to study the offers of other providers. I’m totally pissed! 😡

    This isn’t “Swisscom”, we’re customers like you…

Nope, you no longer have to pay for your email services at all - you can continue to use email as before - and you’ll even get free advertising 😁.

It “only” costs more if you don’t want advertising…

The competition will also have a surcharge, and that is partly the case.

Speaking of “you”: here in the “Customers Helping Customers” forum we are on “you” (that’s what it says in the forum rules)

    1. I think it’s legal to write “Hello Swisscom”. Or is it forbidden to contact Swisscom here? Finally, this thread was started by a Swisscom employee. So if only customers are allowed to write here, why do Swisscom people also write here?

    2. I also think it is justified to make criticism here. As is well known, there are no other places to post criticism or praise.

I have already listed alternatives in this thread - see post 21.

It probably only affects the TV programs that have a contract with Goldbach Media - remove them from EPG and the problem will solve itself ;-).

To help: https://goldbach.com/ch/de/portfolio/tv/sender <- kick them out.

However, it affects all providers - although some have made replay a general, paid additional offer, independent of TV programs.

I think advertising is an absolute no-go and am considering switching all products to another provider. We already pay more for all the services we use (television, internet, telephony, etc.) than our competitors. Now we have to pay more again so that we don’t receive any advertising. impudence.

The Thunderbird mail client is free to use, there are no advertisements and you have many advantages over webmail.

A mail client is already preinstalled on the smartphone or tablet, you just have to configure it. This gives you more functions and convenience than with webmail and you are no longer bothered by advertising banners.
