On April 1, 2022 we are launching a Swiss version of the feature film channel “Sky Cinema”. The new channel is integrated into the blue Max subscription and offers TV premieres in the best picture and sound quality.

“Sky Cinema” is the successor to the “blue Prime” channel: The content that was previously broadcast on blue Prime will now be shown on Sky Cinema. Your existing recordings from blue Prime will be retained.

The feature film channels blue Action and blue Stars as well as the partner channels Warner TV Serie, Warner TV Comedy, Warner TV Film, 13th street, SyFy, Sony AXN, Sony Channel, Universal TV and RTL Crime as well as access to our service remain on offer Large streaming offering.

In other words, only blue Prime becomes Sky Cinema and the rest stays as before. Blue City and Retro could easily have been intrigued in Maxi.

But I can well imagine that Blue’s days are numbered and it’s only a matter of time until Blue becomes sky.

Swisscom is slowly no longer able to bring decent content to Blue Max. The competition is big, is getting bigger and is already available as an app on your own setup box. I also see it as Sky will buy the Blue+ business at some point.

Sooner or later Blue and Blue Sport means sky cinema and sky Sport switzerland and then, like in Austria, there are some sky sport switzerland channels that show Swiss football

What does it look like in the Skyapp on the TV box: Will the Swiss, German or both Sky Cinema be shown there?

The German SKY Cinema is launching the app today. I haven’t received an email saying anything will change from Friday.

By the way, Sky Cinema “Switzerland” is already on the Swisscom channel list at number 444.

@ThomasS Can you clarify whether the Swiss version of the Sky Cinema channel comes with or without a permanent channel logo?

According to feedback, there will be no permanent station logo.

Will the channel also be available on Sky Show or will Sky Cinema Deutschland stay there?

There are still people on the cable network who have old subscriptions and the channel there will simply be replaced by Sky Cinema Switzerland tomorrow
