So here’s the first update on the case of the AC3 2.0 audio streams from the WB channels (previously TNT Film HD).
These AC3 2.0 audio tracks come directly from the station itself.
A request has now been placed with the broadcaster as to why they have no longer been delivering AC3 5.1 since August 10, 2021.
As soon as we have feedback from the broadcaster provider I will let you know.

There are no media releases. There is a pop-up on the TV screen or check the forum here regularly.
If Replay is included in your subscription, it would still have to be activated (via Box or via web interface).

@Glotzologe Of course, we usually have the internal forum “media release” for new channels between 8:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m., today it was just later 🤪. With these new channels, however, there is also sausage.

So on the subject of 5.1 for the WB stations there, it is actually the case that the station itself has deactivated the 5.1 audio track and changed it to 2.0, as they are currently also having playout problems with 5.1 and are therefore setting it to 2.0.
Unfortunately, we have not received any further information as to when WB can activate DD 5.1 again.

@Mr.T_91 Because the broadcasters don’t want to know whether there is replay or not, the broadcasters decide that it could be due to licensing reasons, for example.

@Mr.T_91 You have to ask CH Media. They decided that, and by the way, UPC doesn’t have replay for the UHD variants either.

CH Media has explicitly specified this for the UHD versions. In the HD versions it was probably still allowed in the past. The contracts are not public and the details are of course not communicated. You can ask and maybe they will send you a copy 😉
What is also known is that the UHD versions cannot be placed on the same program slots as the HD versions.
This is just about marketing the advertising.

Over the course of the year, you would have ended up with a list of almost all well-known companies and brands.
However, they are only indirectly responsible for the ban because, understandably, they do not invest in advertising on a platform that no one watches anymore. has to look and therefore logically puts the providers of the advertising platform under pressure.

Unfortunately, the 5.1 sound problem on the two Warner channels, film and series, was changed back to the “wrong” 5.1 state some time ago. The dialogues come again from all 5.1 speakers all around. This is not how you can enjoy 5.1. You then always have to reset to stereo manually. Can you please switch back to 2.0 until Warner has solved the problems and can also deliver the 5.1 sound as 5.1 sound?
Actually schizophrenic - otherwise I always demand the opposite. But if it’s not correct, it should just be changed back.
Can we already predict when the HD ORF programs will come back in 5.1? The RAS Stüdtirol communicated about this at the beginning of January 2023.
