@roku73 I have to honestly say, this is really awesome, let’s hope the suppliers get this under control soon 🤪. There are already rumors in the French-speaking forum that everything is great with the German-speaking EPG, but there are discrepancies with them 🤣.

So what I’m particularly annoyed about is that (future) series recordings have been cancelled, they are simply gone without warning and will therefore no longer be recorded.

When I open the menu with the planned recordings, the number for the next 14 days is almost half that of a few days ago.

Is it just me?

I thought it was just me. I also noticed that series are suddenly no longer being recorded. Or that in a series suddenly only the even episodes were recorded so that I had to start a series recording again for the odd ones. I’m curious whether the series recording that I set up today works and for how long.

So today I would definitely not recommend Swisscom TV.

So far I only see a deterioration.

E.g. crime scenes. No more showing the episode number. The last crime scenes this week in the 3rd programs in Germany are listed as CH. Sure, if Ballauf, Odenthal, Singer, etc. are investigating.

Continuous recordings are gone.

There is still a lot to do.

Well, I have to say that some things aren’t that great. This morning I accidentally discovered a series in HR that I watched as a child or young teenager, “Three Ladies from the Grill” and watched it for nostalgia reasons.

Apart from the fact that the picture doesn’t fit and that the episode was from 1983 and not 2021, it doesn’t bother me that much. I just found it a bit distasteful when I saw her gravestone among the cast, under the main actress Brigitte Mira, instead of a photo of her. (yes, yes, I know you can discuss what is tasteless or not, everyone will certainly have a different perception). I’ve never seen anything like that with any other actor on the home screen, or I didn’t notice it.

    Hello @Gaeilgeoir and @Andy7171

Thank you very much for your note.

I placed this internally and found out that our TV experts are working with the EPG supplier to replace Brigitte Mira’s picture. Unfortunately, I can’t tell you when this will happen at the moment.

    Best regards,

So I’m starting to suspect that the new supplier was chosen because he was cheaper and not better.

I hope I’m wrong, but so far I haven’t noticed any improvement.

At least the error with the series recordings should be fixed as quickly as possible, so they are not really usable.

@Andy7171 I assume that the problem with this channel is that it is not a channel that comes via satellite or DVB-T, for example, but in Germany it is also a channel that you can watch outside of Samsung TV cannot receive. I have no idea where Swisscom gets the signal from, but it could well be that EPG data is not as easy to obtain as with channels via satellite or antenna.

It is an FTA channel that shows 3 to 6 series in an endless loop. The channel has been on Samsung TV since spring but most people already know that. Swisscom tries to record all German channels that can be received for free. Normal or…

Unfortunately not, otherwise we would have had “Health TV” long ago. A channel that may not be action-packed, but is still useful.

The EPG supplier will probably have a Samsung cell phone lying around somewhere. You can simply write off the EPG. Since the same thing always works, it doesn’t take much effort.

You don’t seem to be watching Star TV, the information in the EPG is a matter of luck.

I previously thought this was a problem with the station because I couldn’t find the program data on their homepage.
