5G Ping vs. 4G Ping

    I would like to know how much faster the ping of 5G is compared to the ping of 4G with a modern smartphone?

    • My tests were a few months ago. If I remember correctly, I had an advantage of around 5ms (instead of 15-20ms it was 10-15ms for me).

      But it was really a while ago. And it becomes really exciting, especially when 5G is operated standalone.

    It’s not a big difference at the moment, since 5G is currently running in non-stand-alone (NSA) mode (it needs the 4G network as an anchor band). Only when the new core is available in the next few years and 5G is operated separately from other networks will the ping improve massively.
