New beta for all IBen 11.03.24

The information pages for the Internet boxes have been updated and the official versions are now

IB3: 01/11/30

IB2/P/S: 10.05.44

But what might be much more interesting for some: there is now a new beta for all IBen with the number: 11.03.24. Some super users here in the forum have been testing this version and various previous versions for weeks now. This means that all boxes are now merged into one number. For the IB3 there was another update to the basic operating system and further Wifi6 functions have been activated… and much more. In this case it is really a beta (but fundamentally stable and very performant).

Please also remember to update an existing WLAN-Box 1 or 2 to the corresponding beta at the same time.

thanks for the message. I tried installing 11.03.24 on my IB3 on two PCs with two different browsers (new Edge and Chrome) via LAN and WLAN. Doesn’t work on either PC - the update stops.

known problem?

Did you get the right version for the IB3?

Otherwise, restart the router. And I’ll take a look at the file.

Update: have two sources for the file and both are identical. 80.5MB. Therefore the file should be ok.n.

hmmm, I still have Chrome installed on the PC on which I first tried the new Edge. that made it work. Thanks for your help.

ps now it finally worked even with dhcp option 6 on the ib3 🙂

The error does not occur across the board, because then something like this would probably have been found before. The question is whether you should put in a lot of effort if it no longer appears in the new version. 😕

But is there any feedback from those here who have installed the beta?

I’ve had V11.3.24 active for a week and haven’t noticed any problems so far. DHCP option 6 with Pi-Hole and DNS over HTTPS works perfectly.

The beta firmware 11.03.24 for the IB+ fixes a WLAN connection problem for me with an older Android tablet, where the connection was established with the firmware 10.05.44, but kept breaking down. Now running stable again with the beta.

The beta for WB1/2 is still being added. Stuck somewhere. Can’t say if that still happens today.

The beta of WLANBox 2 is already available: wb2_11-03-13.rui

But for WLANBox 1, the beta firmware of WLANBox 2 has been published (wb2_11-03-13.rui).

I also installed beta 11.03.24 on my IB2. This solved the problem for me that the phone number was no longer signaled on the analogue Anschluss for external calls. See also here.

So far no other abnormalities.

Wrong file

The 11.03.24.acs for the Internet-Box-plus works.

Incidentally, it seems to me that Swisscom is having some problems with the firmware.

1 hour ago around 2 a.m. my internet connection was interrupted and a new old firmware was installed on my Internet-Box-plus.

Previously it had 10.05.44.rui on it, after the restart it had firmware 10.04.46.rui on it, which you cannot download from the Internet-Box-plus website. An older version than mine was installed with the rui firmware.

Maybe a user close to Swisscom can download the correct beta firmware.

As I described tonight under “New Beta…….”, the Internet-Box-Plus is on the download page

Beta version of firmware incorrect.

There is an ib2_np-11-03-24.rui offered for download instead of the correct ibp_np_11-03-24.rui. The size of the file of 64.0MB for the Internet-Box-Plus cannot be correct either, it is usually around 45.1MB in size.

At the same time, at around 2 a.m., Swisscomm installed a 10-04-46.rui on the Internet-Box-Plus, even though I had the 10-05-44 on the Internet-Box-Plus. I was automatically installed tonight downgraded to a 10-04-46!!

Would it be possible to finally make the correct firmware for the Internet-Box-Plus available as a beta download?

The version beta that you get for the Internet-Box Plus is an ib2_np_11-03-24.rui for the Internet-Box 2 instead of the probably correct firmware for the Internet-Box-Plus, the ibp_np_11-03 -24.rui should be.

You are absolutely right, the beta is linked incorrectly. I can’t say why an old FW was installed. Seems strange to me, unless Swisscom suddenly found a major error in 10.05.44 and wants peace and quiet before Christmas.

I’ll address it.
