Hello @BenutzerX
Yes, it will be difficult to “downgrade” to SC 2.0.
Get an “old” HD box, then you’ll have 3.2 again with the option of changing light/dark.
But one thing should be said: As @hed writes: It is not clear how long 3.2 will continue to be supported
and it’s just a deterioration.

I don’t have to get the old HD box (Swisscom TV 2.0 / IP1200) because I had it in use until this morning. And no, she’s not perfect. But it’s definitely not the new box including remote control either. Everyone has to ask themselves which disadvantages they can live better with.
And I’m not the kind of person who feels the need to judge others based on their preferences. That’s why my original request: offers an option for darkmode or lightmode. So everyone has a choice.
Hello @BenutzerX
I don’t want to pass judgment, I’m just responding to your post
If this isn’t possible again soon, I’ll seriously consider switching back to Swisscom TV 2.0._
I wrote my advice to you - nothing more, nothing less. I’m just a customer like you,
This is the Customer Help Customer Forum, if you can’t use my advice then don’t.
Stay healthy

Hello Tinu
I’m sorry if you felt personally affected by my statement. But the point about the judgment was generally related to my view that everyone should be able to choose which view they prefer without having to justify it.
I think it’s a great thing that customers help other customers. I’ve already looked for advice here and was happy to get help from other users. In this case, I didn’t ask for advice or help, but simply expressed my opinion (which you can leave uncommented, or not).
Good health to you too.

From Swisscom:
Swisscom TV Air dark design
The decision to introduce a dark design was made, among other things, because it allows you to work with high-resolution images and implement image gradients and contrasts better. In addition, our decision was based on feedback from many customers who complained that a white background in a dark living room or bedroom is very disturbing due to the lighting.
---————–
We’re sorry it’s not easy for you to read. The contrast between the background and the white font is AAA certified and should actually be easier to read.
iOS offers very detailed parameters to adjust the brightness, colors and contrast of the device to your needs. It is also possible to change the font size on your device under Settings. All of these adjustments have an impact on our app and can increase readability.
The settings of Ipad Night Shift can also be set colder or warmer
which also has an influence on the contrast.
However, we are currently working on our TV Guide to make it more readable. In the meantime, you can view our TV Guide as a list (rather than a grid) at: More > Settings > TV Guide Appearance > List, which makes it easier to view.
I don’t find that helpful.
In my opinion, a company that is content to only target a portion of its customers has no right to exist.
A decent company strives to satisfy as many customers as possible.
Personally, I no longer want to be one of those silent, frustrated customers who help ensure that Swisscom TV can continue this policy.
I tested Sunrise Neo, Zatoo, Wilmaa, and Teleboy with 4 televisions at the same time.
It’s worth it: there are alternatives.
Leaving is probably the best way to help Swisscom TV (by which we mean EPG) finally get better!

No company can afford to satisfy the needs of all customers. Therefore, a company will satisfy as many customers as is economically justifiable, rather than as many customers as possible at any price.
But to confront a significant portion of customers unannounced with product changes that significantly affect the use of the product is quite arrogant.
Especially since there are alternatives that are offered by the majority of providers (either day or night mode).
And with all due respect the reasoning is: bs.
@Gumbalaya, don’t say nonsense. EOS4 with its dark mode and other changes was announced last year, months before the rollout actually took place! Anyone who was here in the forum or on the SC website knew what was coming for a long time.
I use hundreds of products and actually assume that I don’t have to bother with all of these products in forums and websites.
I did not receive an email or letter. If Swisscom relies on the forum and website, it is missing out on a significant proportion of customers.
Especially many of the people we are talking about here: older people and old people with poor eyesight.

By the way, I don’t like being addressed as ‘Du’ without being asked and when the word ‘nonsense’ appears in the first line of an answer, a lot of the seriousness has been lost.

- Duzis – here in the Swisscom Community we are on a first name basis.
- Be careful with your data - your posts are public. So don’t give out any personal contact information.
- Search before you post - before posting a question in the forum, check if it hasn’t been asked before.
- Be specific – describe your request as precisely and in detail as possible. If possible, include device type, metrics, connections, error messages, etc.
- Accept solutions - if you have received an answer that solves your problem, mark it as a solution.
Installationen, Netzwerk, Internet, Computertechnik, OS Windows, Apple und Linux.
Now this kindergarten is starting again?!
@Gumbalaya if you had read the last 18 pages carefully, you would certainly have asked several times why this feature is built in and that many people like it. There’s no point in dragging this problem on and then ‘umezchätsche’ until it doesn’t work anymore!
Kærar kveðjur - herzliche Grüsse

We received the new TV box last week and have just installed it.
We are also VERY disappointed with the black appearance. Many unimportant default settings can be changed, but not this central setting. We cannot understand why Swisscom is anticipating the customer here and not simply giving them the choice between “black” and “white” as before. I clearly expect Swisscom to implement this choice again.
Very respectful?!?
It’s better to leave it at that @Gumbalaya there are some people here who are the same and the others have to stick to the rules otherwise they will get warnings from the admins.

How was it with this forum @Seppl17 & @DomiP???
I thought users help users, you always underlined it! Now suddenly this is supposed to be an official SC channel to announce new developments???
