Skipping commercials or skipping to the next episode only works to a limited extent. This only seems to work for channels without advertising windows. With 3+ it doesn’t work properly with the series. The beginning and end of the episode are not recognized correctly and if you are not careful you will miss the beginning and end of the episode. Skipping commercials doesn’t work properly on this channel either. The whole thing would be a great function but at the moment you have to use it very carefully.

How can I set the TV guide again so that I can see a single channel in the overview and scroll back and forth in time?

It’s just getting to the point where I’m having trouble with things like termination, reconnection, etc.

Luckily I don’t need functions like Smart Home, voice assistant, streaming, holiday photos anyway.

@Chrisiboy with a mobile phone you have the same problem, you have to buy one, otherwise you won’t be able to use the mobile network. For example, if the Natel only works with the G3 network and Swisscom switches it off soon, you will not receive a new Natel from Swisscom, those days are over. You will then also have to buy a new phone, perhaps at a discount. The same is true with TV-Box. If you change provider, you can sell the TV boxes to Ricardo or Tutti. So from your point of view you didn’t waste the whole 119 CHF (not 129 as you claim).

You’ve almost hit the point there. At Natel I buy the device of the brand with the functions and in the price range that I want and can use it with any carrier. I can design the appearance freely and use it however I want.

That’s not possible at Swisscom Box, so I won’t give you any money for it. With the last TV box, the friendly boy in the SC shop also wanted to tell me that I had to pay for the box, then I explained to him that it didn’t come in the bag and the purchase was off the table.

Fight back people, don’t just swallow it, there are so many TV/Internet providers and everyone needs customers.

Since the upgrade of the swisscom TV system, films are no longer recorded until the end and each time a part of the film is missing. Have you ever been informed of this problem?

Maybe the recording settings were lost. Track Setup (wheel), TV and radio, Recording settings.

The programs are frequently late, so I set it to “30 minutes later”. I haven’t missed the end of a movie since.

Is it still possible to choose which seasons of a series you want to record? It was possible on OS3, to avoid recording old seasons already viewed, but I can no longer find the option on OS4 and rebroadcasts of old seasons are also recorded…

It is possible to choose/delete a season.

Under Records choose Manage Records > Active Series Records.

On the line All recordings - Coming soon - Season xx - Season yy

Select Season xx. There is then the option Save season xx or Delete season xx

The first option also allows you to choose which channel to record.

Very nice. I think the box is now a little quicker to use. I like the GUI. However, the operating system suddenly restarts while watching TV, even while watching Netflix…

Now use Plex directly in the apps and no longer from the Samsung app, the Swisscom app reacts faster.
