Phone wants to send SMS to 30075

  • Hello community!

My Android phone wants to spontaneously send a message to 30075 for the second time today without my intervention:

    Screenshot_20190722-063308.png

The apps that have this permission are limited. That’s why I would like to approach the cause research from the other side. However, the quick question to Google didn’t help much, so the question to you: Is there a (Swisscom) directory that lists SMS short numbers? Do you know another way to identify the recipient of an SMS short number?

And perhaps the last question: Have any of you already received this notification?

    Äs Greetings

    And I

      👋🏻

      Edit: Tippfehler behoben.

There is a short number search link, but whether this works for your short number is up in the air?

Thanks Walter for the link. I also assume that the short numbers are assigned and managed nationally and not internationally. Since no ‘suspicious’ app can send SMS for me, I assume that the activity is already being sent from ‘deep down in the system’, i.e. from Swisscom itself.

@Anonymous: Can you help me with relevant information?

      😉

I just had that too, on Android. I have now allowed it once, based on the information presented here. on the [BAKOM] page (https://www.bakom.admin.ch/bakom/de/home/telekommunikation/nummerierung-telefonie/kurznummern/kurznummern-fuer-sms-und-mms-dienste.html). Please read the following under “Code of Conduct”:

In the case of subscribed services (push services), the providers must inform the end customer via a free SMS/MMS or, in the case of WAP, on the corresponding WAP interface:

      • any basic fee

      • Price per piece of information

      • Clear instructions on how to unsubscribe from the service

      • Maximum number of individual pieces of information per minute (the FDV price limits must be observed for SMS/MMS)

After receiving this information, the end customer must expressly confirm the order for the service with an SMS, MMS or link (each depending on the service subscribed). Only then may fees be charged (Art. 11b Para. 2 PBV).

Therefore, it should be harmless as long as none of the messages mentioned in the italics are associated with it.

      kind regards
      LL

Interesting to read that I’m not the only one who observes this phenomenon…

      😉

For me it’s not primarily about the costs. So if some app running amok sent paid SMS, I would go rancid too. That’s why I initially rejected the text messages.

What makes me much more suspicious is the fact that my cell phone sends text messages on its own. Now I’m assuming that it’s a Swisscom ‘number’ that is being supplied with data. What is the purpose of this? What data is sent? Why am I not informed in advance? Why can’t I find any information about this on the Swisscom website? Why don’t any Swisscom employees comment on this? Everyone on vacation?

      🙊

Questions upon questions and no answers yet…

        Hello,

I got this message with number 30075 on my Google Pixel 3 twice. A search on Google turned up nothing except this forum.

The first message was the day before yesterday with the name com.google.android… and the second was today with the name com.quinic.cne.CNESer(vice). See screenshot:

I billed the two because I think it’s malware (I used applications that can’t send SMS when the message comes + the name changes + the same message comes several times if I don’t select “remember selection”, …)

I have currently done several antivirus scans with different antivirus software, but I haven’t found anything yet.

The last applications I installed (other than the antivirus) were Flightradar24 and Sketchman der Mobiliar; but I don’t think these are the source of this SMS.

I also received the message. Flightradar24 could be an explanation. I didn’t install the app, but the website was open… (see also Cédric’s entry).

        1) Because I assume that there are bored students behind it who are stuck along the standard questions and answers.

        2) Because I’m not the only one with the “problem”.

        3) Because “customers helping customers” was yesterday and the forum is definitely read by Swisscom employees.

        4) Because the question/thread can now also be found on Google and it therefore makes sense to write the answers here.

I don’t believe that. Neither website nor app in use.

It’s interesting that you have a different sender (for me it was “telephone” twice). And ultimately it’s nice to see that I’m not the only one with this effect!

Yes, almost everyone is on vacation. That’s okay, right?

I gave your question to an employee who will look into it. I can’t say more at the moment. But the MA has a few other topics, so I can’t tell you when there will be an answer.

        Oh yeah, Walter:

The clue “Combox” is much more exciting… But that in turn generates more questions than answers.

Are all Swisscom employees on vacation and can’t provide any relevant information?

I have the same problem, I got a Pixel 2 this morning and it always seems to happen when a WhatsApp message comes in! Modem Service wants to send a message to 30075 I think it was before Phone wants a message…

It usually appears several times in a row so I have to press cancel several times.

        Show original language (German)

I’ve had this happen several times in the last 3 days. Coming since the last system update. The system apps that trigger this can be found under “Settings” - Apps & permissions" - “Advanced” - “Special app access” - Access to Premium SMS". I simply set this to “Never allow”.

Premium SMS incurs costs that are billed to the telephone provider if you send Premium SMS via an app.

Appeared pretty much at the same time, the first time yesterday at April 23rd

You can refuse and try 4-5 more times after which you have 12 hours of peace and then it comes again at 11.05. At exactly 12 o’clock

Running apps at the moment WhatsApp, Netflix, 20 minutes, Snapchat, Instagram. Chrome.

I’ve had the same thing since this morning on my Nokia Sirocco with M-Budget Mobile.

“Smart-Divert” tried it for the first time. I canceled this with Remember Selection. Second time it was “com.qualcomm.qti.callfeaturessetting”. I also canceled this with Remember Selection.
