Unfortunately, it is no longer possible to restore iOS11. iOS11 is no longer signed by Apple.
I’ve only ever read about the iPhone X having network problems. My iPhone 8 has absolutely no problem.
How old is your SIM? Have you tried resetting the network settings?
Reset network settings:
Settings -> General -> Reset -> Network Settings
You then have to enter the WiFi passwords again. But this is a small effort if it works again.
@Sc00by I would still give it a try. The main problems with iOS12 and Swisscom affect the iPhone X. What’s strange is that the iPhone 8 also has the Intel XMM7480 modem. However, we have around 100 iPhone 8s with iOS12 in use in our store and no one has yet complained to me about reception or network interruptions.
Of the approximately 10 iPhone Xs, half have probably already said something.
Therefore. Try it.
