Dear community
Thank you very much for your feedback on our new subscriptions.
With the new subscriptions, young people now benefit from many advantages such as an hourly rate for calls to other providers’ mobile networks instead of a minute rate, the inclusive SMS can also be sent abroad with NATEL xtra liberty primo, all customers up to 26 years of age can benefit from a new one Benefit from an entry-level subscription for mobile surfing
Swisscom incurs higher costs for calls to external networks than for calls to its own network. That’s why these tariffs differ. In addition, the tariffs are the same as with the new landline offers. This will make it easier in the future, as the same system applies to landlines and mobile phones.
However, we continually review our offers and will be happy to receive your input.
Best regards
JanB
Hello
I have a question why Swisscom doesn’t offer a special subscription like e.g. Mtv Next from Sunrise for 29 FR.
I actually expected more from the new subscriptions 🙁
Like a subscription for 29 Fr.
Contents:
Free calls to Swisscom, unlimited surfing, unlimited SMS…
I think this will be possible if other mobile providers can do it too.

In the information age you shouldn’t take customers for fools: [http://ralfbeyelercomparis.blogspot.com/2011/01/plotzlich-kostet-der-gratis-ruf-ins.html](http://ralfbeyelercomparis.blogspot. com/2011/01/suddenly-costs-the-free-call-ins.html)
Perhaps the management would be well advised to go over the books again and ask themselves whether this adjustment of the offer corresponds to market-oriented corporate management… In this case, I only see that Swisscom is trying to strengthen customer loyalty by indirectly restricting the choice of fixed-line provider (Ex.: “I’m not switching to Cablecom because then I can no longer make free calls home from my cell phone.”). Of course, Swisscom’s profit motive cannot be dismissed out of hand, as all calls to another landline network now generate revenue.
To be fair, it has to be said that, depending on their usage behavior, some customers may benefit from the new offer.
But if Swisscom explains why they are now charging fees for landline calls to foreign networks, I ask Swisscom to either stick to the truth or not to comment if you cannot/are not allowed to tell the truth.Greetings Nemeswiss
That’s exactly how I see it too. Now it’s been free (included) for several years and now something like this. I can live with the fact that Swisscom limits the data per month to 500MB/month because of the network quality and does not increase it. The fact that the subscription fees are quite high at 45.00 doesn’t bother me too much. But what bothers me is this rip-off. I’m happy to pay for quality, but not like this. I hope Swisscom notices, otherwise they will lose a lot of customers.
I’m sticking with my current x-tra liberty mezzo for now and will see how it develops. Up until now I have been able to call a landline without feeling guilty. Now I always have to call with a strange feeling and since I usually only make short calls and it would still cost 70 centimes, that wouldn’t be okay for me at all.
I don’t know why everything has to be changed now, but the excuse of higher termination costs can’t be used. Luckily it is known how much this is approximately!!!!
For me, someone who prefers to make calls on a landline number rather than on Orange and Sunrise Mobile, the offer is simply worse than before. It doesn’t matter to me whether I can send text messages abroad or not, as nowadays there are emails, messengers and the like. gives! If you could use it to make calls throughout Europe and the USA like Orange does (even with the minutes included), that would be something different. But these are ONLY the CH landlines! Since even the signal tone is missing, you have NO cost control at all! It just doesn’t work like that!
We should actually start a petition, I don’t think the Swisscom employees who decided on this are reading this. It’s actually a shame because I’m not the only one. Many others, for example, are not even registered in the Swisscom Community!
I completely agree with the two previous answers. What particularly bothers me is that Swisscom doesn’t explain this very clearly. Only when you read the small print do you realize that the landline COULD cost some. Only a call to the hotline gave me clarity. It’s a shame Swisscom, I thought you had learned a lot about information policy in the last few months? Apparently that’s not the case after all…
Unfortunately, I immediately signed up for this new subscription (xtra liberty Medio (I already have xtra liberty mezzo). Only later did I discover the restriction with the landline network of other providers in the small print. The Swisscom hotline then told me that I had to switch back to the old subscription is no longer possible, even though the new one will only be activated on February 1st, 2011? Since I still hope that this was misinformation, I ask again: Can it really be? that I can’t keep my old subscription (which hasn’t changed to the new one yet) (I registered via SMS, without Unterschrift)?
Kind regards
I also wonder why Swisscom is watching the competition here. Another reason to switch back to Sunrise after your subscription has expired.
Why should I still be a Swisscom customer?
When they dominated the iPhone monopoly with the orange, it was clear to me that the orange would never be an option, there was no other choice.
But the competition never sleeps. With the MTV subscription from Sunrise you have clear advantages: Free unlimited SMS to ALL networks, as well as unlimited surfing - I also need my iPhone for that. Making the phone call itself is just a minor matter. Subscription price 29.-, compared to Swisscom 45.-
You can budget the remaining 16 francs for telephone calls if you make calls to foreign networks. This means that Swisscom’s costs have been recouped; calls to the Swiss landline network are only charged at 0.45 centimes… with Swisscom almost twice as much.
And: the iPhone is also cheaper.
For such an expensive subscription (Xtra-Mezzo), I find it lousy that instead of improvements being emphasized, the deteriorations somehow go under the table.
Why is Swisscom sleeping here?
However, a call to a third-party mobile network previously cost CHF 0.50/minute and now only costs CHF 0.90/hour!
But complainers tend to overlook that ;-)
Well, whatever, I’m too old anyway…

It’s not about getting something for free! Did you register specifically for this set? That’s really a joke…!!!
Have you read the entire thread? The point is that calls to landlines that were previously included now cost and the subscription fee has remained the same!
