Here in Wengen [3823 CH] in our chalet we have a Swisscom Internet-Box-Standard which has Wi-Fi, 4 wired ethernet ports, and 2 analog phone ports.
Wi-Fi works fine; Wired Ethernet works fine; and up to 2 years ago analog phone worked as well.
This year (we were away for a time due to medical reasons) I have found that the analog phone port no longer works. I have checked the settings in the internet box, which shows an error flag on the “phone” section on the status page. I have reset the box as it suggested but to no effect. Is analog telephony still supported ny this device? Or do I have to buy a DECT phone to replace that? We do want to keep a ‘fixed line’ type of telephone in the chalet. Ideas please?
