Asus routers can handle multicast perfectly when configured correctly.
This works absolutely flawlessly both LAN cable-based and in WLAN.
Here are the settings you are looking for:
Under LAN/IPTV:
Activate multicast routing and set IGMPv3
Under WLAN/Professional for the 5 GHz WLAN:
Enable IGMP Snooping

Another important thing to mention is that I am connected with aimesh.
My main router is connected to my modem (RT-AX82U) and my two other routers are access points. My tv box is connected via ethernet to the RT-AC88U access point.
Does this change any settings?
No idea what “Magic” is supposed to mean, but what is absolutely clear is that for multicasting to work, the entire chain from Internet access to the final Swisscom TV box must always be configured consistently for correct multicasting.
So no matter what you have in between, whether additional routers, switches or access points, everything must be configured to be compatible for multicasting.

Unfortunately, I can’t understand the phrase “connected to my modem (RT-AX82U)” at all, because this router doesn’t even have a built-in modem with which it could connect to a Swisscom subscription.
Does this mean that you still have a Swisscom Internet box connected to the front, or do you not have a Swisscom Internet subscription at all?

Werner Yes, the Swisscom Internetbox is connected at the very top and is configured in DMZ.
For the AiMesh it’s an assus technology to have mesh network (https://www.asus.com/microsite/aimesh/de/)
Your tv box is connected to the RT-AC88U via LAN. And the RT-AC88U then with this AiMesh, i.e. via WLAN to the RT-AX82U? It is possible that this will not work with aimesh. A live TV stream always places somewhat higher demands on the transmission in your own home network. And a WLAN network that has to be kept together by meshing is actually rubbish anyway.
I would try switching off this AiMesh. Or even better, connect the RT-AC88U to the RT-AX82U with a network cable. This can be done as a test by simply running it through the flat.

Yes, that’s it. For the moment I’ve set up this AiMesh because we’ve got some work planned soon and I didn’t want to run cables between the routers.
But it’s something I want to do in the long term.
Is it possible to connect the TV box via wifi without adding any hardware?
Keizeubof63 Yes, even if the WLAN signal is strong enough at the TV box, you can connect the TV box directly via WLAN from the router.
However, an Ethernet cable to the router is always recommended.
Note: WLAN is never as reliable a transmission medium as an Ethernet cable.
