Stephan_76 That’s clear. But Swisscom informed us in advance that PNs cannot be accepted.
I was not informed.
foobar Okay, informed is perhaps the wrong term. I expressed myself incorrectly. 😳
But there was some information “on the side” in the community:
Dear Community
We are very much looking forward to welcoming you to the new community soon!
Please note that we will not be able to migrate your previous private messages to the new platform. However, if you want to keep them, you can download them and save them for eternity:
My settings > Personal information > Downloads > My community content
Best regards
Tamara

It’s difficult to give (positive) feedback at the moment because there was still a bit of a “construction site” when I first called up the community. When I (first?) called up the community, I saw nothing but technical names, both on the PC and on the tablet. Only a second visit to the community page (on the PC) remedied the situation******n.
Edit: if the language is English, then technical names are displayed.
What I would like to see is a button that gives me the choice of whether I want to see the posts in the original language or whether the posts should be translated. I want to see the original language, not a translation.
I saw a post in the TV forum (supposedly) in German, wanted to reply because I have the same phenomenon and realised in my reply that the title of the thread was then suddenly in French, which is very likely the language in which the thread was written.
The title of a TV programme also seems a bit strange to me when translated.
That’s why I want it to be possible to select the original language of the post.
If this button/function already exists, I would be grateful for input on where it is located.
Greetings

I take my hat off to the makers, chapeau, I like it very much! 👌
I have one small comment: on all my mobile iOS devices (iPhones and iPads), I have to double-click on the screen when I want to open a thread. Maybe this is due to my age (over 80) and my fingers don’t work hard enough… On the PC it works with one click.
Hello Chips
No, this is not due to age. This also affects other users.
But the community managers are informed.
Incidentally, other communities with the same software also have this problem in some cases. So it could be that this cannot be solved.
German works quite well. but when I switch to English, it (still) gets technical (I posted a screenshot in another thread, but the thread was on a completely different topic. @Stephan_76 has already “forwarded” it to SC managers)

Yes, these are also problems where the team has to work on, at the moment most of the hints come from the German side, but it is very good that users who use other languages also report, it is just the minority who are actively registered here.
The whole thing has only been active on the net since 5 Dec. 2024.
Installationen, Netzwerk, Internet, Computertechnik, OS Windows, Apple und Linux.
@Cabonesha There are currently no plans to always be able to display the original language. But I will gladly add this to the list of ideas. What should be possible (and is currently missing and under investigation) is that every post that has been translated should have an indicator that it has been translated with the option of displaying the original.
PS: the error in English should be fixed, even for you now? As you realise, no matter how much you test, a launch always brings problems. Great, if you report everything, we will record everything, no matter in which language and do our best to have a stable operation as soon as possible.
@Chips As @Stephan_76 says, the double-click is already known and will be looked at. But currently not with the highest priority, there are other things coming first.
Liebe Grüsse / Salut et à bientôt / Ciao e a presto / Cheers, see you soon!

**Calls for tenders Swisscom TV](https://community.swisscom.ch/d/855519-senderanpassung-swisscom-tv-per-04122024/3), this is not translated correctly into good French.
I didn’t know that Dutch was the original language of the Swisscom community :-)
“Display original language (Dutch)”
Not to mention that the translation is still quite lax, even with my rudimentary German, I do better for basic messages as without help from the retarded AI ;-)
Your AI still needs to improve a lot, and not in 10 years’ time, but right now, because you’re misleading your community and that’s leading to misunderstandings, and that’s serious, even though no human being has died, but intellectually it’s not acceptable to regress like this with your cheap AI system.
So a major effort by the community’s bilingual moderators to translate properly for your French-, Italian-, English- and German-speaking customers wouldn’t do any harm, especially on Swisscom’s part, because your AI is retarded.
It’s not very complicated to have an automated translation table of the equivalent terms to translate automatically without reinventing the wheel.
