When I asked BMW and Swisscom in May, they said I was the only one with this problem. When I read the entries in the forum, it seems like a lot of customers are affected…

I wonder whether we can put more pressure together, either at Swisscom or at BMW.

Who have you already had contact with about this?

Swisscom communicated the following on November 9, 2022: For Geschäftskunden with a NATEL® go and MultiDevice subscription, use of the BMW Personal eSIM function will not be available until 2024 at the earliest.

WOW… cool, you don’t get this information from SWISSCOM or BMW. Your own employees are not aware of this… everyone who wrote in the forum received different information.

What would also have been helpful if the salesman at BMW had informed us in detail.

But well, now it’s time to wait and hope AGAIN!!!

I no longer believe that it will work from 2024.

It would also be nice if SWISSCOM would read something about this thread. Are there no moderators here in the forum?

I tried it again: Unfortunately, this service is not yet available to you. We are working on implementing it.

I’ve been waiting for the service for almost a year now, where I shelled out CHF 500 for accessories.

For all other “Apple” devices… the e-Sim is activated within 30 seconds. I don’t understand the problem. It must be possible to make something like this work…

A few days ago I received instructions from BMW support on how to activate the eSIM. Unfortunately that doesn’t work either and you still get the great Swisscom notice.😡

  • Did you also receive the instructions from BMW support?
  • Does this work for you?

Does your BMW not have built-in connectivity? It should actually be, because the obligatory emergency call function alone makes this a necessity. At Tesla, connectivity is included and for 11.- Fr./month. even in a “premium” version. I’ve never had any problems so far, not even in other EU countries.

So at the moment it still doesn’t seem to be working. Swisscom Business and fresh eSim activated. Message in the cockpit: “Unfortunately the service is not yet available…”

Dear Swisscom admins: Please forward this and look for a solution. That can’t be true. According to my BMW dealer, a number of customers are affected. When can implementation be expected?

Your problem isn’t with support here, but with “Customers helping customers”, there is a contact point at the link below.

The above description still doesn’t work. It doesn’t surprise me either, since these are instructions from BMW and not swisscom. It’s not a problem with BMW, but rather a problem with swisscom and possibly not from a technical point of view, but from a contractual point of view. Company contracts with Swisscom are often not awarded directly by Swisscom, but rather by Mobilezone, for example. This suggests that they have not yet resolved their contractual situation. Because - as some have rightly suspected - it cannot be a technical problem. act point of view. Because eSIM technology has been around for more than 5 years and is therefore very well known.

Unfortunately swisscom will not confirm/admit this…

What is actually not understandable about the following information from Swisscom?

For Geschäftskunden with a NATEL® go and MultiDevice subscription, use of the BMW Personal eSIM function will not be available until 2024 at the earliest.

Show original language (German)

There is no precise information until 2024 at the earliest. That could also mean 2025 or later. A statement such as “from April 2024” is customer-friendly information, anything else is a stalling tactic using vague information.

Show original language (German)

But 2024 at the earliest does not mean that it will be in 2022 or 2023. But you try it anyway and complain afterwards because it doesn’t work. There are reasons why Swisscom is not announcing any exact data for the coming year (2024). As you also wrote, this may have a connection with Mobilezone Business, Schaefer AG, etc.

It is more than understandable that as a customer you want to use a service for which you have paid. That’s why it’s clear to try again every now and then.

The majority of those who have posted something here would like more clarity in communication from BMW and Swisscom.

Monday is “from 2024” and thanks to my clairvoyant abilities I can predict that it won’t work, not always spring or summer, perhaps more towards autumn.
