>… every time I receive an email that the IB-4 has been updated, my entire network crashes and I have to turn off my box, wait 1 minute and everything restarts…. ..
it is better to not turn off the Internet-Box 4, but to logically restart it
to do this use the router management tool > Internet-Box > Restart> Restart the Internet-Box
How can I change the Internet-Box settings?
You can easily manage the settings of your Internet-Box via the web portal. There you can change your WLAN access data, configure parental controls or view a list of all connected devices.
**On the computer
**In your Internet browser, enter http://internetbox.home or 192.168.1.1 Please note that access This is only possible if you are connected within the network with your Internet-Box. Then, log in with your existing admin login. If you don’t know the password, click “Set New Password” to create a new one.
**On smartphone
**Thanks to the Home App, you easily access the main settings from your smartphone at home and can to modify.
>… And even today after a restart it is impossible to reach the login page….
please specify the application concerned by the login page?

I bought an internet box 4 which I returned after a week. The functions are identical to those of the internet box 3, apart from the USB port key, into which you can no longer connect an external drive, the USB port on the internet box 4 is only used to plug in a USB key for Internet reception in the event of a problem with the optical fiber. A function, in my opinion important, has been deleted, regrettable and incomprehensible
Hello @Pierrot48,
You were also a new customer one day… so you also benefited from gifts.
By the way, what is your question?
Good afternoon.
Cordialement, Prelude
@Pierrot48 Hello
Unfortunately the USB connection to connect an external hard drive to the IB+, IB2 & IB3 will disappear at the end of March 2023.
That’s why you didn’t find it in Internet Box 4.
Cordialement Doremi
Hello Doremi,
Do I understand that from March 2023 the USB port of IB 3 will be disabled, i.e. the main memory option, see below, will no longer be available:
Central memory allows you to save documents, photos and videos centrally and access them from all devices on your network. To do this, connect a USB hard drive to your Internet-Box. To access your data, type \INTERNETBOX-NAS.home in your Windows Explorer or, if you are using a Mac, choose the “Shared” menu in Finder.Thank you for clarifying. Kind regards
@Pierrot48 Hello
Yes, the disappearance of connected services as well as the disappearance of central memory is explained on the following link;

Good morning,
yes indeed the box4 is really made for fiber connections.
everything is faster and smoother, plus you can have high internet speed depending on the type of subscription.
Regarding the price of this box, it is worth negotiating the price with Swisscom in order to lower the price, or even a free exchange.
best regards.😊
Hello @owegen, thank you for your message.
By connecting to your customer area My Swisscom, you can order your new IB4 router.
To do this, select your “blue Internet M” plan, then on your right click on “Replace router”.
You will find that you can buy it at a preferential price.
Have a good start to the week,
