Mail account in Mac Mail incorrect

  • Hello everyone,

    can someone help me how to fix this? Neither the hotline nor Swisscom my Service could help me…it’s just annoying when this request keeps coming and I have to enter the password x times and nothing happens…😞

    I’ve already deleted the account and reinstalled it, but that didn’t help. Could it possibly be because I have a Pop3 account instead of IMAP? or is it the new mac OS Catalina?

    When I start Mac Mail, the inbox icon immediately appears. When I click on it, at least the emails are downloaded. But after a certain time this error message appears again…

      Have you tried https://www.swisscom.ch/email-update?

      Otherwise you can also set this using the manual instructions (“To the instructions”)

      If this doesn’t help you, you can delete the account (remove the account from the mail program) and then log in to the account again.

      > Click on Mail > Settings > Accounts > Select Account and then Remove.

    …sorry, misunderstood…🙈 the PW for webmail is different than that for Mac Mail. I changed it exactly like POGO 1104’s answer, still it doesn’t work…

    Sorry, I don’t know Macmail - but the server settings in the screenshot above should work.

    Have you tried checking “Automatically manage server settings”?
