Maybe the reality isn’t quite as royal as you might think…
By the way, out of pure nostalgia, I dug up my historic first forum post, which forced me to register as a member of the community.
By the way, when I read through my primer again a good 4 years later, I got the impression myself:
- Even back then, some of my posts simply contained too much nonsense
- A certain sense of mission was already evident, because the first post already contained a solution for a workaround, intended as solidarity support for other “damaged” Swisscom customers
- My first discussion was (which I of course didn’t know at the time) directly with the then and still current network guru of the community
- over 3000 more or less successful contributions later, I still haven’t achieved my initial goal, namely enabling bridge mode on the Internet boxes and using them as pure modems. So in terms of my original goal, I’m actually a failure…
If you are still interested in my very first forum post despite the long introduction, you can still find it here:

If you think it’s “customers helping customers”, it’s simple.
Then why not a more humane term for SU? e.g. Big Brother?
This is too reminiscent of a certain power in earlier times. 😞

Indiscreet question to the staff:
In addition to the reward system, is there also a rating system?
Can you explain in more detail what you mean by that?

can you please remove this embarrassing badge for me?!?
What motivated you when defining the badge?
What did you get involved with???

In general there are badges, including mine, which are rather inappropriate…!
I still differentiate between funny and embarrassing
Thanks for your feedback, tastes differ. It is probably almost impossible to create badges that all community users like. Due to the demographic mix; Language diversity, age, etc. It can therefore happen that not everyone can identify with every badge.

Well, for example SU’s are elected.
Obviously, if you look closely, not by level.
Do additional criteria apply that are not publicly announced?
Additionally, I asked a question in the French forum,
Is it logical to set the same standards for the German, French and Italian forums?
Total number of likes received to date for the 6 most popular users:
Site D.: between 2458 and 1218 / Site F: between 1441 and 494 / Site I: between 304 and 22
which is normal, considering the population distribution.
