I’ll try to give some input for this new app below. I’ve been playing around with it for a few hours now and the first thing I noticed is that there’s an enormous amount of work behind this app. Just seeing and experiencing these countless links almost makes you sick. It amazes me that the developers still have any insight into this. I have great respect for this work and it is difficult to criticize it. That’s why it seems important to me that tips and requests for changes are not seen as criticism, but as food for thought.
I think it’s a shame that you don’t have a form with the entire tree structure available so that you can record your notes directly in this form. Sure, that would be far too complicated and would discourage potential testers from even taking part. The result would be correspondingly meaningful.
Since I’m spending the winter in Tenerife, I’m logically not on the home network. Nevertheless, I am connected to my home network via VPN. That’s why I should also be able to access my router via the app. It works without an app.
The help pages are very extensive and informative. Perhaps a search function could be installed there to get to the desired location more quickly.
On certain pages (router energy consumption) not everything is visible on the iPhone screen and the line cannot be moved sideways.
I identified the business products as the weak point. It seems to me that there could be competence problems between the company (for example Swiss Golf) and Swisscom. Only the first point works for me (devices and SIM). Information about the subscription and cockpit do not work. I haven’t tried removing the business number 😉.
You could perhaps place the cookie notice somewhere at the beginning and forget about it afterwards. But perhaps there are legal requirements against this.
Since the app is so extensive, you could consider adding a telephony function. Likewise roaming. Everything could be covered with a single app. Of course, there are certainly users who lose track and find the app too opulent.
In any case, I know that the MySwisscom app is a herculean task and will never please everyone. Too extensive for some, too slow for others and certainly not sufficient for some. A lot of work! Thank you Swisscom!
