Obviously no one at Swisscom reads the Community comments.

Please, give us the choice… There are other “improvements” to make than going from white to black…

For the moment I haven’t yet read many comments from people liking this “new thing”!

P.S. I hadn’t yet read Lapinou’s comment which “fortunately” asks that we have the freedom to choose.

Hello everyone,

@[deleted] is indeed right. It is no longer possible to change the background color of the TV Guide under OS4.

Swisscom has taken this measure following numerous comments we have received on this subject in the past.

Have a nice weekend

Bad decision… It makes me want to test the other operators because it tires my eyes so much….

I clicked on the link received and realized that there is an impossible mish-mash in this subject… I don’t know at all where I am… There is no order chronological… This reflects the current state of Swisscom TV!

I believe I have already written about Swisscom’s “conclusions”. Once again I would like to know where the comments of people who didn’t like the old presentation are… I have been participating in the Community for a while now and even for a while now and I have never nothing seen on this subject…

The worst thing is that with this fundamental change, there have been other changes and disappearances of functions which impair access to the programs.

For example, have people who prefer a black background also asked for the elimination of the presentation of the list of programs to watch and/or record? We can no longer eliminate the thumbnails that accompany the programs (4 per screen instead of ten). As most often these vignettes have nothing to do with the program in question, it is useless… Provide me with a photo of the federal palace in Bern for a program on a distant country or - very often - that of pyramids is completely “stupid”!

P.S. I don’t understand anything about checking the spelling either… I wrote “(they) pejorent” and now the word is underlined in red… I checked. The spelling is correct. Note that “Swisscom” is also underlined in red… and the same goes for “méli-mélo”… The word “méli-mélo” is also underlined in red!!!!

If I understood correctly, the black background is only necessary for the quality of the background images everywhere in the EPG.
These images have no intérêt and often don’t even relate to the subject.
What we expect from the EPG is clear and complete information from the programs.

Really nothing more but above all nothing less.

Some say “if it doesn’t suit you, just change” (leave Swisscom)…

Swisscon is not a dictatorship and yet!

by imposing purchased devices on us (sometimes in the form of perfidious gifts) that can only be used at home,
causing us to lose our recordings and our purchased films,
    and our telephone directory…

Swisscom makes contract termination a costly and painful procédure de divorce…to get not much better (the only argument).

If Swisscom is not really a dictatorship, it is a strange ball and chain.

Still running the old OS on the TV, fortunately. But on the iPad the update was done automatically and here I am confronted with what I simply call dictatorship. What right can we have to impose a black background, it’s scandalous! Given the price of subscriptions, coming to say that it is too expensive to create this option is bullshit and taking us for idiots…

I will pass on the malfunctions that we had to endure with SWISSCOM TV 2.0, Unimaginable…

    It’s all pathetic and a little…

I am one of the unhappy people - who are not taken into account - THIS NEW APPEARANCE WITH BLACK BACKGROUND IS VERY UNPLEASANT!! And the disappearance of the small credits, as it was presented and quickly accessible, constitutes a regression in the Swisscom TV offer. I don’t believe at all in the statement that all of this represents the “desire” of a majority of customers. In view of the numerous messages that I have just read here, and after having taken the opinion of several people around me (who do not communicate in this community), it is obvious that Swisscom was wrong and must quickly and imperatively rectify his errors of assessment when putting back in place THE CHOICE light or dark of the appearance of the guide.

    Hello everyone,

    This doesn’t bother me, because I don’t use SwisscomTV^^

I have a Kbox (1×159.-) for streaming films and series on the internet, and Zattoo (rarely used) for free webTV…

You have to know how to live with the times, and subscriptions all over the place, I find it stupid…

    Have a nice day 🙂

It’s not so much the color that bothers me but the readability of the TV Guide. Before we at least had the choice of display! Now all horizontal, it stings the eyes. Anyway, I don’t know about you, but I have the impression that the comments of Swiss Germans are always taken into account more than those of others in Switzerland. To believe that Switzerland is only German Switzerland. Ok, maybe what I’m saying is ugly, but that’s my opinion. It’s not for lack of having called Swisscom to find out if the option was going to be offered and all I got as an answer was: “Yes, we changed because that’s what people wanted. to a survey”

Personally, I haven’t been asked anything, and you? In my opinion, they must have written the survey and forgot to click send!

In short Swisscom, as I read on another post, there is no shame in admitting your mistake and above all give us the choice!

    THANKS

Romain, Obviously you are a user who masters modern communication tools… Personally, I am part of what the Confederation calls “a risk category”, but I had the chance to get started with computer science while I was still working. However, I must admit that I would either be unable or not have the patience to try to use tools that need to be more efficient.

How many people are there who have no knowledge in this area and who simply want to watch television and consult the EPG without having to rack their brains. This is the reason why we absolutely must not forget this category of viewers, on the contrary. In my opinion, the management of Swisscom - or if you prefer the moderators’ favorite expression “the department concerned” should read our comments carefully and seriously ask themselves whether their new version of presentation is not rather a disaster than a success . It is not shameful to admit that we have taken the wrong path… There is a saying that says “a mistake confessed is half forgiven” and personally I am ready to forgive if the vox populi is finally heard…

This still doesn’t stop me from wondering who are the people that Swisscom claims to have contacted for their opinion and who gave a favorable opinion!

    Hello @Anastasie,

If you write a message on a post to someone in particular, it is good to put the “@” followed by the 1st letter of the “name” (RSA for me).

For my part, I am a trained telecommunications installer and I install all Swisscom products, which I don’t know inside out because I don’t use all of their services at home.

I completely understand the point of view you have, but we are French-speaking people in the minority unfortunately…

Swisscom wanted to “surf” on the wave of Apple’s “dark mode”, something which is not great for a TV screen 3m from you.

Afterwards, the “tools” that I use, like the Kbox is just another box than the one offered by Swisscom, but it does not allow you to watch TV, only streaming movies and series, which is what I do on a daily basis, because television only brings bad news to the news and ads, I do without them.

This box rather “replaces” Netflix. As for “zattoo”, it’s a website for watching TV online on PC or via their application on smartphones and tablets.

But if you want more information, I will happily respond by private messaging:

Good evening, @RSA…. Thank you for your *trick" to send a message to someone in particular… this is all the more practical as I seem to have problems with the order in which community posts appear on my screen… but that’s another story.

Personally, I also have a subscription to Zattoo because, at the time, I was at UPC (where I was transferred after the takeover of Naxoo) and could not receive the German regional channels. I continued my subscription with them because I have recordings there that I want to keep… I use Chromecast to watch them on my television. The first model didn’t work very well (the images “froze”), but with the new one it’s perfect. I also watch programs from channels not broadcast by Swisscom.

Let’s continue our efforts to obtain satisfaction… without forgetting the “seniors”!!!!

    • RSA likes that.

    @Anastasie
    Good morning,
I’ve never seen a survey either….! as I haven’t read or heard anything from a user who responded to it!
And I’m like you, a person “at risk” but comfortable with computers… But not ready to have to do visual and intellectual gymnastics just to be able to watch television. 😐
