Hello @MiriamF and @JoelV

This article could use an update regarding changing router password. In fact, we have

Router Password
If you have forgotten your router password, you can reset it in the Swisscom Customer Center. To do this, click on your Internet subscription > WLAN & Router > scroll to the “Router” section at the very bottom. You can reset it in “Router Password”. Change it now.

MySwisscom portal:
Router password
You can change your router password via the Internet-Box web portal.

And indeed, the change is made directly in the router without going through the MySwisscom portal.

Hello @Gugrausipp51 and others^^

The easiest way to change the MDP of the router is to log in to its page: 192.168.1.1 (if you kept the basic settings)

It is indicated at the bottom that you can reset the MDP by pressing the “+” key which will start flashing…

If the option is not available, you must go to your customer area and authorize the change!

ABE, Romain

Years ago I was able to make a printout called “Internet Access Data” which contained a summary of the most important details of the DSL subscription and could be kept in paper form in a safe place. Is this option still available?

I have an email account that I only want to use with webmail. This used to be effortless. Now I have to log in with Swisscom ID. I click on email and have to set up an account?! Reply to: *E-Mail placeholder*
