New mobile subscriptions from Swisscom

  • Have you heard? Swisscom is launching a new mobile phone subscription on February 25th: With “inOne mobile go” from CHF 60.– you have everything with you: unlimited calls, sending SMS/MMS and transferring data with up to 100 Mbit/s. And that in Switzerland as well as throughout Europe. This means that for the first time, the much-criticized fees for cell phone use in the EU will be completely eliminated.

Swisscom is now separating mobile phone purchases from subscriptions. This means that you buy a smartphone regardless of a contract extension. Special offers make it possible for you to benefit from discounts on cell phones again and again. This means you also pay less basic fees for your subscription. And the best thing to do in the future is to pay for your device in installments using your mobile phone bill.

You can supplement your inOne mobile go with various options. Because the subscription can be easily adapted to your life situations. Simply book in – and cancel easily if necessary.

The new inOne mobile go doesn’t really suit you? Then take a look at our other new subscriptions: With the inOne mobile subscriptions basic, go and premium as well as the Swiss mobile flat subscription you get great offers with lots of freedom.

Do you have any questions about the inOne mobile new products? You can find some answers on the help page. If you have any further questions, please write to us here in the community. Of course we are also interested in your opinion!

    • Hallo zusammen

      • Inklusiveinheiten ausserhalb EU/Westeuropa: inOne mobile go 1000 SMS/MMS und 100 MB Datenvolumen pro Monat. inOne mobile basic 1000 SMS/MMS pro Monat.

      Multi Device:

      Gruss Samuel

hmm… I don’t really know what to think about it. I just renewed my subscription in September and have an InOne M.

This means that I can only switch to an InOne mobile Premium free of charge and otherwise pay a fine of 200. What kind of joke is that?

For me the InOne Go with Connect Pack would be interesting. Would also cost 100.-. So the same as my InOne M. Does the basic fee for the basic subscription really count here or can I switch to an InOne mobile Go with Connect Pack for free?

And the Connect Pack includes 3 Multi Device devices (smartphones and tablets). Does it matter if one of these is used in my Apple Watch?

@MiriamF Can you answer these questions for me? To be honest, it confuses me a bit.

    It’s in the report!

The new offer is valid from February 25, 2019. Existing customers will not be automatically migrated, but can easily switch to the new subscription.

I just had a long discussion with the chat and yes, it’s a joke! As a inOne Mobile M customer you can either:

      1. Pay a fine of 300.- CHF and switch to inOne Mobile go for 80.- as soon as it becomes available - The Connect Pack for an additional charge of 20.- CHF counts as an option and is NOT counted towards the basic fee!
      2. Switch to inOne Mobile premium for 200.- (Yes, of course, just pay 100.- CHF more, is that still possible!?)
      3. Or what 95% will do, grudgingly wait until the 12 months of penalty payment period are over and then change.

Sorry, but I’m assuming that Swisscom has made cold calculations, especially since the inOne Mobile M is the best-selling subscription.

They now want to keep existing customers on the old subscription for as long as possible.

It would be easy for Swisscom to add the options to the basic fee and to track whether a customer cancels during the penalty payment period - then a fine of 300 is “fair” - or pays for the option without interruption during this time and in In the end, you would pay exactly the same fee as before!

Very customer-unfriendly behavior on the part of Swisscom in my opinion!

      Show original language (German)

I find the way it is communicated and how uncomplicated the change is to be customer-unfriendly. 😞

But otherwise I think it’s okay if you’ve renewed your subscription and gotten a discounted cell phone.

      Greetings swissbeetle

      • Doc likes that.

I am of the opinion that with my subscription in One Mobile “L” and two MultDevice and the Internet subscription inOne Home, where I now pay CHF 100 with the allowances, I can go back to the new subscription, where I get CHF 60.00 + CHF 20.00 You then have to pay CHF 80.00 for three MultiDevice cards.

I have the subscription without devices.

It can’t be that with the reduced foreign fees I still have to pay the full price from the end of February.

@Nemeswiss I suspect that the chat hasn’t reached the latest “news” yet, wouldn’t be the first time!

I also think it’s completely wrong. Sure, I signed a 24 month contract. Despite it. I’ll think about what I’ll do. Is exactly what Swisscom wanted. Either switch to premium or stay.

@MiriamF @Anonymous can you officially say something about this?

      Show original language (German)

Furthermore, it would also be an indirect advantage for inOne Mobile S customers who pay less than InOne Mobile M customers:

      • inOne Mobile S customer: Can switch to inOne Mobile go without charge once availability occurs
      • inOne Mobile M customer: Pays more than inOne Mobile S customer, but can either pay a fee or wait until 12 months are up to switch to the inOne Mobile go, even if with options he would pay the same as before!

Here you cannot argue with a discounted device, as the starting point is the same for S or M customers!

In this case, with the higher subscription you lose out with Swisscom, which shouldn’t be the case…

Why do you commit to 24 months? I assume you get a discounted device. Sure, you just have to pay it back.

I paid Swisscom Wingo, 25.– (1 year flat rate for 25.– without limit, there was a promotion at the beginning of the year that you can have it for 12 months flat rate). VOLTE and WIFI calling has also been running since yesterday. And 1 GB of EU roaming per month (in the 25.- per month included). Well, what more could you want…

      Show original language (German)

You only have a minimum contract period if you have bought a cheaper cell phone. If you switched from a inOne subscription to a lower one in April 2018, this does not count as a contract extension.

I asked: I have inOne M (downgraded from L in April 2018) and can switch to inOne mobile go on February 24th without penalty.

      Show original language (German)

HaHa, because I expect more calls to the EU in the next few months, I just switched from M to L in January, with a 1-year contract extension, so that I don’t have to pay 140 but only 120.

I think I must have made a really bad time.

      Hello everyone

It is true that customers who have purchased a discounted cell phone in the past 12 months have to pay a contribution to switch. The discount you received for the device you purchased was also significantly higher than the 200 francs that Swisscom charges when you switch to inOne mobile go (note: it is not 300 francs as incorrectly mentioned in various posts.)

This fee only affects customers who have purchased a discounted device in the last 12 months.

We take it to heart that communication was not clear enough from the start. Luckily, we have the Swisscom Community to help you with exactly this kind of clarification.

      Kind regards, Samuel

So either it’s just window dressing again or it’s simply very unfortunate or cleverly worded (a rogue who thinks evil). Now what is true?

Advertising: inOne mobile basic, unlimited telephony and SMS in CH/EU (1)

Interpretation: I can now make unlimited calls from Switzerland to Germany

Small print: Telephony from Switzerland to the EU/Western Europe can be booked separately for a fee

Reaction: Well I can just accept it, it hasn’t worked with the inOne mobile light yet either

      - now it’s getting outrageous -

Advertising: inOne mobile go, unlimited surfing, telephony and SMS in CH and EU (½)

Interpretation: I can now make unlimited calls from Switzerland to Germany

Small print: Telephony from Switzerland to the EU/Western Europe can be booked separately for a fee

Reaction: WTF?!? With the inOne mobile XS, which was previously the same price, at least 30 minutes/month. Calls to EU/Western Europe, USA and Canada included. Now the first second costs extra.

Only with the additional package Intercontinental Pack for a ridiculous 70.- is the magic word “after” added - as is the case with the inOne mobile premium offer - it says unlimited telephony CH to EU/Western Europe and USA/Canada.

By the way, I have inOne XL and also inOne Home L/L - i.e. I actually pay almost the maximum, this doesn’t actually affect me. But I still think it’s cheeky how the customer, who doesn’t have a big budget or won’t spend that much, is being ripped off again.

      Show original language (German)

Oh dear… it’s even worse than I thought… the mobile go actually costs 80.- not 60.- like the inOne mobile XS…..

Then all customers who still have Infinity or older and don’t want to spend a lot of money should either turn their back on Swisscom completely or quickly purchase a inOne XS….
