@StefanSch keep it that way, skip the advertising thing. Anything else would be a reason for me to switch from TV-L to TV-S very quickly.
I would like a personalized entry like Netflix. In a household with several TV boxes, this would be a great way to keep “my” area (recordings, TV guide, etc.) a little more protected. Especially when it comes to recordings, it would be much easier to understand who programmed what and you might delete someone else’s recordings by mistake a little less.

My wishes for “Create, change channel list, etc.”:
- If you select the options “Channel packages”, “Languages”, “Quality” or “Genre” above, select “select all” for the “Visible” column: E.g. Teleclub Sport HD until the individual boxes of at least 30 channels were active , I’m almost desperate.
- Several “channel packages” can be selected at the same time at the top: E.g. Swisscom TV L, Top German+ L German+ mini together or possibly several Teleclub packages at the same time. So no radio buttons but selection boxes (like for languages, quality and genre).
- It would be good if the field with the programs opened in a separate window that could be enlarged. It would be great if you could also change the view there, for example to tiles, so that you could edit the programs better and more clearly (similar to the TV Guide on TV Air, without EPG, but channels also next to each other).
- It would be great if there was an additional column that says which channel package the channel comes from, because there is overlap between the packages and Teleclub packages.
- Good export option for the channel list(s) (formatted) in Word and Excel.
- Possibility to “save”/“backup” your own station list(s) separately so that if you ever lose the station list, as happened this year after an update, you can “get” it again.
Thanks for the thread.
A few years ago, UPC activated the premium channel package free of charge for everyone over Christmas.
Since the Teleclub apparently belongs to Swisscom, you could activate the Teleclub Movie for everyone free of charge during Christmas week and credit the days to the subscribers’ bill.
Many customers do not subscribe to Teleclub because it is quite expensive and you cannot cancel it for 12 months or even try it out safely.
You will definitely make some customers happy and some customers will certainly also subscribe to Teleclub. That would be a nice Christmas present.
The temporary “simple” solution would be to make CEC support configurable by the end customer on the TV-Box so that they can decide for themselves whether their setup works or not.
It is absolutely obvious that the complexity of operating/installing a TV-Box must be adapted to the technical capabilities of the general public, but switching the TV on/off (without changing the input, mind you) via infrared is not the solution for even an additional device. So all that remains is the additional remote control for the TV - which would definitely not be necessary.
There are customers (like us) who only operate 2 or 3 external signal sources on the CEC-capable TV, e.g. TV-Box + AppleTV and would not have to expect any problems, but with CEC a lot of the complexity in operation would be eliminated.
Hello
I guess it’s unavoidable if you crawl under the same blanket with the content providers like SRG…
That’s where I see the biggest problem: SRF is now intentionally delaying broadcasts by up to over 5 minutes. It would be useful if the software could be programmed so that I could not only limit the lead time to 2 minutes, but set it to 0. I would find it even easier if I could program the channels individually!
I definitely see more “Swiss punctuality” at other stations.

Hello
For me it actually doesn’t matter much. It doesn’t make any sense that when I want to watch a recording - and the show is still running - I’m asked if I want to go straight to the show. Why should I take a detour via the recordings when I could press the broadcast channel directly?
But perhaps you have identified another problem that could explain this situation to me?

@StefanSch this has been known for a long time. I don’t really care how you solve the problem by fast-forwarding the commercials. If the TV stations want more money because they lose advertising revenue by over-winding them, then so be it. Let’s quantify what this means for each individual subscription. Then you can discuss how and who will finance it…
swaco,
That’s the joke about CEC.
It is actually intended so that all the devices from the respective manufacturers can talk to each other.
But since every one of these clever people is of the opinion that they have to mess around with it themselves and twist it, then the universal option won’t work….

The fact that everyone has their own variant confirms the different names for CEC among the manufacturers.
As I said, I just want the opportunity to decide for myself whether my “device mix” works with CEC or even to put it together based on compatibility. For example, I replaced the old receiver clutter with Sonos, just to make it easier to use - and made my partner happy with it 🙂
For a week now (since Swisscom TV), I have had to switch the HDMI inputs again with the otherwise unnecessary TV remote control and, if things aren’t going perfectly, I have to synchronize the TV and TV-Box on/off Bluetooth/infrared again… absolute nonsense.
So, dear Swisscom decision-makers; gives us the opportunity to activate CEC ourselves if we want.

If one can freely wish, I would like to have Swisscom TV in top resolution on the TV without a special set-top box, ideally simply as an OTT offer.
It might sound a little exotic at the moment, but Netflix and Amazon generally manage it very well for the most common TV manufacturers, so from a purely technical point of view it wouldn’t be impossible for Swisscom TV either. In addition, a specific Swisscom STB could still be offered for old TV sets according to customer requirements.
