Recordings should also be marked with a check mark as to whether they have been seen before or not.

Example: I delete a show after watching it.

2 weeks later the same program comes back to my recordings with a checkmark.

Here OS3 has to notice that I have already seen this exact episode even though it was freshly recorded by DMAX or whatever (where there are a lot of repeats)

Hi @realGoliath

> “Skip forward the desired minutes using the number buttons. If I press 5 6 0 one after the other then the advertising jumps forward 560 seconds.

It’s not that elegant, but if you press the skip button (> [+30s forward]) between 16 (=480s) -19 (=570s) times you have the same effect, since the commercial breaks are usually the same length . On average these are 9 (=540s) -10 (=600s) minutes long. I always do it this way because it’s faster than spooling and it works quite well.

Anything that supports more flexible jumping would be nice.

It might also be possible to support voice commands, and since the “skip advertising” command probably cannot be implemented, it might simply have to be “skip 6 minutes”.

If you long press the skip button, it will slide forward in no time. Press for about 2.5 seconds and the 10 minutes of advertising are skipped

Hello

- I want the Dazn app, Spotify and Amazon Prime

- In the main menu I would like to see the last seen shots item.

- It would be nice to have a sorting function in the Recordings menu. I always see the last shots first. An overview of the last seen recordings, so you can go straight into the season.

If you select a recorded season, then the next episode should be at the top and not the last episode of, for example, season 7. Then you could save scrolling.

Menu display like Netflix that would be great.

- I can’t see the current time anywhere while recording is running. It’s missing from the banner

- More UHD video to watch

Maybe my wishes will come true:think:

I wish:

  • a Synology DS Photo app that can play videos
  • HDR via Youtube and HDR via VOD offer
  • More movies in 4k AND HDR via VOD

Otherwise I’m more or less satisfied 😉

Hello Swisscomchristkind

Here is my wish list:

What I miss sorely:

Subtitles of any kind on TV Air (on the FB this is possible via the options button or on some channels such as RTS via Teletext)

What I often miss:

the possibility of being able to determine the skip time yourself, especially the backskip time. I’m obviously not alone in this wish.

Something I haven’t missed often, but would still like to list:

The ability to “cut out” parts of a shipment. This would make it possible to keep only part of a program (e.g. only a song in a music program).

I’m curious to see whether the Christ Child has the opportunity to fulfill one or more of my wishes.

In excited anticipation

- That the selected audio track is retained per station; same for subtitles on/off.

- CEC-HDMI worked perfectly for me during testing. Also with Samsung and Denon. A menu item with “expert settings” can be created.

- DD5.1 on Netflix (OK, I can also use the app on other devices, but without DD5.1 it is unusable for me on the Swisscom box)

- HDR (was already promised)

- A reminder function for upcoming TV shows (I had my ancient ADB box from Cablecom before they started with the junk boxes). There are still shows that I want to watch live (especially if they are live)

- Use the pairing function for external devices such as keyboards (e.g. Bluetooth) or cell phone/tablet/PC keyboards

- Make the start time of the next program visible again on the fade-in bar (gone since OS3).

Hello everyone,

I would be very happy if I could choose with the 4K box whether I want to send the HD channels natively in HD or in 4K to my receiver or TV.

One can actually only agree with that. Also HDR and DD5.1 on Netflix. It’s a bit disappointing when UHD and HDR were announced 20 months ago… Plus there are still problems with UHD channels. Stuttering, sound dropouts… That was pure marketing nonsense.

Maybe there will be a new box soon?

I would really like to have the opportunity to use the guide to watch a broadcast that is currently being shown on live TV from the beginning.
So current example:
I’m just coming home now.
Would like to watch the DFB Cup final in the replay.
Sports show on ARD is still running.
So, in such a case, how do I get to the beginning of the sports show WITHOUT selecting the options to watch from the beginning on live TV?
I can’t see that in the guide or in the lower back on the TV picture.

That’s stupid in this case, because every now and then, especially in sports, you find out a result that you want to look at first.
So I have to go to Tagesschau from 8:00 p.m., then fast forward to the end and then click on “continue watching”.

The whole thing is also quite uninteresting in relation to the Olympic Games and such.
Sports shows can sometimes last 6-8 hours.
If I want to watch a certain sport that was broadcast there at some point, I have to fast forward until I’m stupid.
The ARD Saturday sports show sets a marker at 6:30 p.m., the actual broadcast starts at 6:00 p.m. However, for legal reasons, ARD is only allowed to report on the first Bundesliga from 6:30 p.m.
Such a marker as a principle for TV sports broadcasts would be great.
Then I could skip all the “preliminary reporting” stuff and go straight to the game race.

I would like two things:

- Switch-off timer via TvBox (I only need the Swisscom remote control)

- Expansion of the child protection function in Swisscom TV (suppression of certain apps such as YouTube or blocking
these functions for children).

Thanks and greetings

Oliver

Hi @LouisCyphre

I think the “problem” is known. Only if you were to show the details page of a current program beforehand would others complain that you have to “press twice”. Most users just want to watch the current broadcast live.

Instead of going to the beginning of the program via Option > Watch from… > Watch from beginning, you can use the following “workaround”:

#1 go to the TV Guide to find the show that is still running

#2 close your eyes 😉

#3 press the OK button, wait about 1 second (until the transmitter is loaded) and press the OK button again

#4 open your eyes again

This will take you to the show’s detail page, where you can then choose Watch > Watch from the beginning. Either way, you save yourself a step. Of course it’s not really elegant, but it’s feasible for cases where you don’t want to see the sports result.

Show original language (German)

I guess I found a solution by chance.
You just have to hold down the OK button longer.
This can be done in the TV Guide and also in the side menu - the one that comes up when you simply do up and down on Live TV.
So at least 2 seconds.
Then you go straight to the table of contents, there you have the item “Watch” and also hold down the OK button for at least 2 seconds and the options menu opens with “watch from the beginning”.
If you remember to use the mute function in good time, it should work.

However, that doesn’t help with 5-6-7 hours of sports broadcasts, you still have to rewind like crazy.

Hi @muusCOM

These functionalities already exist, although not to the extent that you might imagine

#Switch-off timer: By default, the box switches off after 4 hours of inactivity. The setting can be switched off via Settings > System > Automatic shutdown. The problem with the paired remote control is that the remote control is paired with the TV via IR. The box, however, does not have a CEC function (Consumer Electronics Control) with which it can tell the TV via HDMI "I’ll turn myself off now > do that too. I.e. the box cannot control the TV

#Parental protection function for apps: Protect access to apps can be activated under Settings > Parental protection and cost control > Parental controls > Protect apps. The problem, however, is that all apps are then protected; you cannot (yet?) do this individually for each app. So everything or nothing at all.

Hi @LouisCyphre

Nice! I didn’t know about this “Easter egg”. Maybe a good topic for the [“Life Hacks” for the Swisscom TV remote control](https://community.swisscom.ch/t5/TV-Wissensbox/quot-Life-Hacks-quot-zur-Swisscom-TV-Fernbedienung/ta -p/519493) Thread!

PS, regarding fast forwarding, if it takes longer, just hold on to the skip button and you can fast forward in no time. Especially helpful for advertising.

There are extremely expensive rights behind it that have to be refinanced with the income. As long as the prices for the broadcast rights stay that way, you can bend it completely… 😞
