Netflix on Swisscom TV

Hello

I have LWL and a Vivo XS.

Does the bandwidth that Netflix requires take away from my “internet bandwidth”?

I ask because at 20MB/s there wouldn’t be much left over from Vivo XS with UHD, if it were even enough.

Correct, like any other service (YouTube, Vimeo, etc.) you consume this via your internet bandwidth. With fiber optics you still have enough capacity. If the internet speed is no longer sufficient alongside Netflix, you would just have to choose a larger subscription.

I also have another question/observation. I don’t have DD 5.1 sound in the Netflix app on the SC TV box. This works easily in the app on the TV. Is that normal?

The Netflix app on the box is still brand new.
There will be future expansions.
And it is known that DD5.1 is currently missing.

In my opinion this is not normal. So it is known that it doesn’t work. But releasing the app like this doesn’t belong in the normal category.

Is this somehow a short-term act either because of UPC or because of the holidays.

Now you actually have a holiday freeze and a lot of things that no longer work properly. Uhh?
