Exciting.

I pulled the beta and wanted to install it on my IBP. The upload and the update process begins normally, but nothing happens. After 15 minutes, I restarted the IBP despite the router LED flashing. - it started up normally again with the old FW….

Tried again - same game. Blinking - bar fully loaded and nothing happens.

Has any of the Beta guys experienced this?

Normally it shouldn’t be a problem to install the two firmware files according to the process.

You can try again to copy both files into a folder on your computer.

Then reset the Internet box and then install the beta firmware again according to the instructions, preferably via LAN and not WLAN.

Important: Before the reset, make a backup of the Internet box on the computer if there are a lot of contacts in order to restore them, or if you have made special settings.

Still can’t download it…

Which browser did you try with? You have to confirm that you agree and then the download starts.

I have no problems downloading the two files with Firefox myself with an iMAC or Windows 10 computer.

N.B. for me it is the Internet-Box Plus.

Addendum: I sent you a PM @SaschaS

@WalterB that’s exactly how I did it (as always). It was also interesting that after the Rebbot with the “old” FW, the GUI was only accessible for about 5 minutes. Then a freeze, but the box worked.

Now I tried it again this morning. Restart the box, change the notice directly on the box, and it worked. I have now updated the APP FW and that worked. Let’s see what happens now with the GUI.

Show original language (German)

I have now installed the new beta firm and everything went smoothly. The version is now 07.50.37 and 07.50.33 AP
However, my problems are still the same as with the previous beta version.
Suddenly “internet connection lost” appears on the TV, also no internet with browser or e-mail, ping within the local network via the LAN ports of the IP-Box Plus is possible, but I cannot ping the IP-Box Plus itself “timeout ….” and calling 162.168.1.1 to get to the configuration menu doesn’t work either, the browser says connection not possible.
The light at the front of the IP-Box Plus always remained white throughout the entire time of the problems.

Then nothing was done for about 10 minutes, suddenly the Internet/TV etc. everything worked again and then after about 5 minutes the situation described above was back again.

But I seem to have now figured out what it could be.

I use port forwarding and have already tried to determine my port forwarding with UPNp turned on, which worked fine for the first time, but here too I suddenly have the problems described above. Then I switched off UPNp and entered my port by hand, this also worked smoothly for the first time and again after a short time the problems described above occurred.

Why I write that I suspect the port forwarding may be the source of the error is the following:
To date, one of my PCs that require port forwarding has not been in operation for about 8 days, precisely because of these problems. During this time I also manually removed port forwarding in the IP-Box Plus and also turned off UPNp.
During all this time, my IP-Box Plus never crashed and ran completely stable the entire time with intensive TV and Internet use.

Since this new firmware was able to be installed yesterday, I wanted to test the whole thing with port forwarding again and immediately see the problems described above again.
I can now turn off the PC that needs port forwarding and not use it. The IP-BOX-Plus is running again.

I will now reinstall the CentroGrande Pirelli, it runs fine with port forwarding/TV/Internet and without any dropouts and I will also operate my IP Rousseau with the network base station again.

Since the CentroGrande Pirelli runs perfectly and the IP-Box Plus apparently cannot or cannot yet match the performance and reliability of the CentroGrandePirelli, the IP-Box Plus is simply not usable for me.

I’ve had my old CentroGrande Pirelli back in operation for 2 days now and the problems mentioned above are a thing of the past.

So the IP-Box plus must still have problems with port forwarding somewhere. (By the way, it doesn’t affect a specific port, but quite different ones, as I found out during testing.)

If the port forwardings are NOT used, I can confirm that the box runs stable with the new beta.

GuidoT

Thanks for the response, hope something comes of it.

With the Centro Grande Pirelli the port forwarding services were entered manually and it runs stably.

I hope that the IP-Box Plus will be ready soon, because the other advantages of the new box compared to the CentroGrande Pirelli are not to be despised.

Hello zämä

I have installed IBS 07.50.37/1003 and notice that when IPv6 is activated, WLAN access to websites/e-mail via mobile devices such as Samsung Galaxy S5 and Google Nexus 10 (Samsung) with Android 5.1.1/LMY49J works only runs extremely slowly (for example via my Natel data with 1MBit/s much faster than with my Vivo 20Mbit/s via IBS). Are there any problems resolving domain names? As soon as the connection is established, the data rushes at the expected speed.

If I deactivate IPv6 in the IBS then it works fine.

Greeting

M

Did you set the two WLANs 2.4GHz and 5.0GHz individually on the Internet box and also gave them different names?

Hello WalterB

Thanks for your quick reply.

On “Single” - but only the 2.4GHz “activated” - and the 5HGHz “not activated”.

What connection do you see between the IPv6 problem described and your tip about disconnecting the WLAN networks?

I have IPv6 activated and don’t have these problems, but I have to say that we all use iOS (Apple) devices.

Addendum: I would also like to mention that the two iPhones and three iPads are usually connected via the 5.0GHz WLAN.

Hello Walter

Yes, it works for me with Windows 10 and Apple iPod Touch (with ancient iOS, via IPv6) without any problems. But my Samsung Nexus has been lame since the IBS update. Then I tested with a Galaxy S5 (doesn’t belong to me - so I don’t share any settings via Google account). It starts to slow down exactly the same when IPv6 is activated and becomes fast again when IPv6 is deactivated on IBS. - - Both devices work perfectly on the Centro Grande.

Save config - reset router - load config - the hundred and twenty-fifth:smileysad: - and now it also works with Android and IPv6.

It would be really practical if the modems also had a second RouterReset button, which could be used to start “Save Config -> Reset -> Load Config”.

[ The Android tool Ping&DNS showed Timed out - DNS server 2a02:120b:c3e6:9460:aad3:f7ff:fe59:9710 53 UPD for DNS queries and now it shows OK again and names are resolved correctly. ]
