Swisscom TV 2.0 app does not recognize TV-Box

Swisscom TV 2.0 app does not recognize the TV-Box. It often happens to me that the app can’t find my TV-Box? “Out of reach”

According to the posting by KatrinM from June 4th, 2014 7:11 p.m.:

“A general problem with the control via iPhone and iPad has been identified and is being processed as a priority. Our technicians are already working hard on the solution. We apologize for the inconvenience.”

Katrin’s posting is now 1 ½ years old and I still have the problem (but on Android). I have the TV app V1.7.0 Alpha (3725) and Android 5.1.1

The problem still occurs regularly with the iPad app and can usually only be resolved by restarting the TV-Box….

The whole thing is very annoying…

I have exactly the same problem on Android 6, not even restarting the box has helped. It always says “Box is not within reach”

Does anyone have another idea?

Unfortunately, restarting and logging in/out no longer works. The box sometimes connects briefly, but as soon as you want to change the channel, the connection is lost again. Very annoying!

The problem occurs regularly for me too. The TV-Box cannot be controlled with an iPhone, iPad or Android. Neither restarting TV-Box nor logging out and logging in again helps. I also get the error message “TV-Box not within reach”.

Question to Swisscom: Is there a solution to the problem in sight?

It’s the same here now! Control via app is no longer possible! Restarting the box and/or app no ​​longer helps!

That doesn’t actually work for us either. The TV box is often visible and the connection can be started. After a few seconds, at the latest when you want to send a command, you will be informed that there is a technical error.

It’s actually an age-old topic. It’s a lottery as to whether the app’s remote control finds the TV box. Afaik it is also known in the relevant places - but the issue is probably being processed with priority low

After the remote control function of the app had actually worked almost always since the beginning of the year, it no longer works at all… always on iOS.

Is there any news about this?
