After installing the app on my phone. ArkMC, it becomes possible with complete ease to see films stored on a Nas and to play them on the Tv-Box in Dlna using Plex media server on your PC or Mac or Nas. Easy and so we abandon the Swisscom Plex application which does not work 😃

Hello

Despite a Plex pass and a version of Plex server 0.9.11, remote access activated, it is impossible to run Plex on my Swisscom TV 2.0 box.

The message ā€œMake sure server is online and the requested media is supportedā€.

Has anyone managed to get it working yet?

A+

Hello

I have exactly the same problem as you on the server I have version 2.4.3 and the Swisscom Plex is in 2.4.1 I think the problem is there. Swisscom should wake up and update the version of Plex as quickly as possible. I don’t find it normal that Plex asks for a Plexpass (not free) and that ultimately we cannot connect anyway, so thank you in advance to Swisscom for update their product and put pressure on Plex so that the updates follow.

Good morning

Plex does not work on the Swisscom tv it cannot find any server (An error occurred Make sure server is online and the requested media is supported.) and yet on all my other devices no problem. So now you can inform your developers that they can look for the problem.:smileyhappy:

best regards

Good morning,

I have the latest version of Plex server (0.9.12.1) with Plex Pass. Like the others, I received an error message after activating the PIN on the Plex app on TV-Box. The server is visible on all my other devices.

I don’t know if the application in version 2.4.1 is the latest for Opera TV, but the web version is already in 2.4.4, even if the latest version will not necessarily correct this bug.

In any case, thank you for adding Plex for TV, it’s really nice, especially since Plex, even if it has been popular for a long time among people with a large media library, will quickly become popular with the general public as well. (if this is not already the case).

So it would be great to get this app working again. If you need logs or testers, I am happy to be at your disposal, as long as you also do your part to help the Plex community with this app.

Hello everyone,

We are currently carrying out tests with our customers to find the basis of the problem with the Plex application, active on certain TV-Box. We will inform you of the results of our research as soon as we can. We thank you very much for your patience and wish you a pleasant day.

Cordialement,

Good morning,

If this helps you it seems to me that the problem only appears if the Plex server is on the same network as the client. I have my neighbor who can easily access my Plex server from his Swisscom tv via the internet, however I do not have access to my server internally.

Best regards

I’m also looking forward to an update to this app.
Watching movies on the TV without having to connect a PC to it will really be more practical.

Good evening everyone,

Do you know if there is anything new about this PLEX client that is not launching?

An update?

Anyway… Thanks to those who have news.

It seems to me that the application was updated from 2.4.1 to 2.4.13 could someone confirm if it works I am no longer a premium plex member.

Unfortunately, it still doesn’t seem to work šŸ˜ž I think the update is there simply because all Plex software now communicates securely (HTTPS, see Plex Blog for more info)

Hello everyone,

No news on this subject?

What do developers who have been testing a solution for several months say?

In the absence of Plex, a simple DLNA player would be nice, right?

Show original language (French)

Hello, I see that nothing has changed since May on the Swisscom side, what is happening?

For me it worked for around 2-3 months. and overnight nothing more?:smileymad:

I see that Swisscom has made an effort to put the DLNA and it apparently works well

(test once this evening), but I specially took a pass for live to broadcast via plex because I find it really pleasant and I haven’t been able to use it for a while it would really be good for Swisscom to take the bull by the horns to solve this problem (among many others)!!!

Good morning,

The TV Box 2.0 update was carried out yesterday but I did not have time to test Plex again on this new firmware.

Does anyone have anything new?

THANKS

Suggestion for box developers:

What would you say if Airbus flew its planes while all the functionalities have not yet been tested (reverse braking, flap opening, emergency opening, etc.)

I think it could be interesting…

Good evening,

I can confirm that with the July 16 update it works again for me. It’s a little slow (the menus), I can’t compare with other Chromecast-type devices, but it’s already really nice that it works again. I will occasionally test with a rather heavy video at high bitrate to see if it holds up.

Good morning,

Can you tell what settings you have on your Plex server?

Secure connection or not?

Port used?

Because for me it still doesn’t work…

THANKS

Server (up to date, therefore with secure connection) under Ubuntu 14.04 LTS with fixed IP in Swisscom modem/router and port set to 32400 (UPNP disabled) and manual port forwarding in the router.
