Hello

I also have exactly this problem: I can’t get a connection to the Fritzbox 7390 with the ISDN connection.

This really annoys me and I have already written to avm support. I complained to them that it wasn’t working.

I read here that you received a beta version of the firmware.

I would also be very grateful to you to send these to me.

Thank you very much in advance.

Kind regards, Marcus

Since the (beta) firmware version 84.04.86-18404 finally allows a VDSL2 connection to be set up via ISDN with the A-CH FB, everyone can look forward to it!! A little more patience and I think the official version will be available for download.

A big thank you to AVM!! 🙂

>>With Swisscom-VDSL you don’t need any access data.<<

Oh yes? Try running a Motorola Netopia router from Swisscom without access data… They’re there just to make it look more serious. 😉

With regard to the A-CH FB 3790 and the Beta-f/w, I can say that practically all access settings work. I assume the FB DSL interface communicates fully automatically with the DSLAM (if the correct manual Annnex selection is made). So you can safely do without the Peoplefone pdf for VDSL2 via ISDN (Swisscom Infinity). 😄

>>You will also receive a fixed IP from your provider, which you cannot simply choose freely.

Imagine the Internet as a LAN: What if 2 people had the same IP? Chaos.:-)<<

You don’t choose them freely but the DHCP server determines which ones you receive. Regarding DHCP implementation, there are 3 types of allocations: dynamic, automatic and static. Both last 2 types usually always remain the same, i.e. viewed from the Internet like a so-called fixed IP. The DHCP ranges are assigned worldwide in a coordinated manner by RIPE, so there is no chaos. 😉

Hello everyone

I’ve had a 7390 for a few days and am also struggling with getting it started. I would like to operate the whole thing on a Swisscom ISDN/ADSL Anschluss. When I first connected to the FB, I answered the question about the annex with Annex A, which is therefore wrong.

How can I change the configuration on Annex B?

Thank you.

Hello brukue

If you have not yet activated the expert view, you cannot make the setting.

So first at:

> System >

> View >

> Activate expert view >

If this has happened:

Sorry, I just realized that I can’t tell you what to do next, but only now can you switch from Annex A to B.

(I have a different firmware on it, the user interface looks a little different)

Hello everyone,

So I have the 7390ch connected via VDSL/ISDN Swisscom Business light (static IP).

Yesterday I tried to flash the Fritzbox with the German laboratory version.86 and the ruKernelTool. Due to a carelessness (firewall active) the flashing failed and I was initially locked out (red INFO LED just flashing). After a long time of trying, I was able to establish a connection again with the recovery version. So I quickly flashed the “FRITZ.Box_Fon_WLAN_7390.04.86.recover-image” and lo and behold, the synchronization now works perfectly (everything else does, of course).

So from my point of view you can flash the German firmware into the CH box without any problems.

Hello everyone!

I also flashed my Fritzbox 3790CH (analog connection) with the German laboratory version.86 and the ruKernelTool.

Works without any problems if you follow the instructions exactly!

My problem with temporary (estimated 4-5 times a day) connection interruptions and pixel formation on the Swisscom TV still persists:smileysad: Anyone have similar problems? I didn’t have that with the new Centro Grande…

Very best regards

My problem with intermittent (estimated 4-5 times a day) connection interruptions and pixel formation on Swisscom TV still persists, does anyone have similar problems? I didn’t have that with the new Centro Grande…

Interesting information, so far only one positive result has been posted in most threads with the Fritz Box,

Now the question is whether others also have problems with Swisscom TV in connection with the Fritz Box.

How is the TV box connected to the Fritz box?

Check whether the problems are mainly caused by other network traffic via PCs etc. Then I would guess QoS problems. In a video stream, you notice every missing IP packet. The retry mechanisms are not infallible.

Hello cschwani

Also the .86 lab on it. But so far I haven’t noticed any interruptions or errors with SCTV.

SCTV main box directly on FB.

Second SCTV box from FB via switch (Netgear GS108T).

This switch allows you to surf and watch TV at the same time.

Hello micro!

Thanks - but unfortunately, as a slightly advanced network newbie, I don’t really understand what I should check…

Best regards

One of the questions about how the TV box is connected to the Fritzbox shouldn’t actually be difficult to answer.

I connected the TV box to Lan1 of the Fritzbox using the extra-thin Ethernet cables that came with the box. I have set this to “always active” in the energy scheme.

Under access data I have the “Automatically set the speeds of the DSL connection”

Under prioritization and real-time application I have specified the TV Box.

Thank you!!

@cschwani

I haven’t prioritized anything for myself, or the settings there are not changed.

Put that back. Maybe the lab verse is still spitting there.

Hi Christian

Maybe try a different Ethernet cable. The extra thin one is not as good quality as a normal one.

I’m not entirely sure, but you can’t do both with the Fritzbox (REAL-TIME and PRIORIZATION at the same time). That contradicts itself. Either or, but not both. I have registered the Swisscom TV device as REAL TIME. By the way: I also have extra-thin cables, but they work wonderfully…

Prioritization for a 7390

Hello Dani

I only prioritized the TV box.

I also had problems with the direct previous version of the Centro Grande. There was a technician from Swisscom there who checked everything and didn’t really find any serious problems.

He swapped the old Netopia for the Centro Grande and from that moment on the TV worked smoothly again.

:smileysad:Now with the FB the problems start again (regardless of the firmware). At the moment I have about 1-2 hours. complete interruptions.

Since I have a FB, Swisscom support will probably only help me to a limited extent and because I have edited the box with the ruKernel, I don’t need to ask the AVM people anymore…:smileysad:
