Resume playback of a recording

    Is it possible, like on the old box, to resume a recording from the place where playback was interrupted (formerly the “continue” button)?
    It was extremely practiced.

    • It no longer exists. Pause, then Back. Didn’t find any other solution.

    On the old box we could use any exit method from the program, but on STv2.0 it doesn’t work… apart from pressing back for a long time…

    This is really the point that bothers me because it’s easy to press the wrong button on the control when you want to take the remote control and you have to restart the broadcast then use fast forward! This happened to me 3 times last night…

    Resumption of reading where you left off does not work well. For me this is another bug to add to the list. Example, I stopped a series while viewing and when I came back a few minutes later, I had no other choice but to start from the beginning. However, earlier today for the same series, this same function worked.

    So it’s an intermittent bug.

    None of the above tips work for me. If I want to resume playing a recorded program, all I have to do is write down the elapsed time on a piece of paper and then reposition myself manually.
    Despairing, because this well-known bug persists and is not about to be corrected.

    The function to resume recording from where you left off is fully available.

    Simply go back to the recording in question and press Play, then the following options appear: Continue Watching or Watch from Start.

    If this option does not work for you, please first restart the TV box and then reset it by inserting a pointed object into the small hole at the back of the box. If this does not resolve anything, please send us by private message your landline telephone number linked to Swisscom TV 2.0 as well as a contact number. We will then call you as soon as possible to resolve this issue with you.

    No, I don’t believe it! Don’t make fun of your customers.

    Believe me that all this has already been done without success with the help of your support who suspects that the bug is located on your server (Cloud) and not on the TV Box.

    the same for me impossible recovery if unfortunately you press a button you have to restart then fast forward hoping that it doesn’t crash… plus some channels at times inaccessible m6 last night for example sometimes also the last sentence of a show is repeated on infinity until zap or extinction… apart from that the product is nice we must hope that these are youthful mistakes

    When I watch a recording on swisscom TV 2.0 it often happens that the recording stops and the recording finished message is displayed before the recording ends. in reality the registration is complete but I don’t know why this message is displayed. you must therefore start the recording from the beginning to find yourself at the place where it was supposedly finished in order to be able to watch the end.

    It’s really not practical…

    On the other hand, where it is “funny”, in the various recordings that I have, it nevertheless works for one of my recordings, an iConcerts concert… how can I explain that then???

    This function is currently random as rabbitou says but it does exist and for me, it has always worked. All series and films recorded on Canal + and other channels work with this option. Last night I watched the end of a film that I started watching at the end of April and it still stopped at the right place. I then had to rewind to remember the last few minutes I had seen. I tested again today at noon and it works very well. I watch a lot of series, and I must have used this function at least 100 times already. I have other problems with freezes present at the start of each viewing for 3 seconds, and this without having kits but over ethernet.

    I hope that soon we will be able to use this product in the best way but I personally find it great apart from the freezes which I did not have with the normal Swisscom TV. But suffice to say that this 3 sec freeze is not really a problem so I can say that I have no problem with TV 2.0

    last night I had access to “resume playback” on almost all my recordings, except a few…

    then 5 minutes later the same but some who had it no longer had it and vice versa…

    Not a very reliable system though…
