Zyxel GM4100-B0 with blue Internet M

    • I tried connecting a Zyxel GM4100-B0 instead of my Internet Box 2 in order to have more control over my network (I use another router). The g.fast connection works right away, the IP is assigned but there is no Internet connection. I then managed to add the DHCP Option 60 on my router and was able to insert my Swisscom credentials in the captive portal. At that stage Internet works but after a short while a splash page from Swisscom asks me the activation code and I have no Internet access.

    Does anybody have any experience with such a setup? I understand that I should also define VLAN 10 but I did not try it yet.

    • I can confirm that adding VLAN 11 it works perfectly fine.

    Hello. I’m trying to operate a Zyxel GM4100 which is to be connected to a Fritzbox. Which settings helped you? I can’t get any further in Zyxel than the activation screen.

    Bear in mind that it does not create a NAT (it is a bridge) but If you connect directly and type its IP Address in a web browser you should access the GUI. The credentials are on the back of the unit and the IP likely 192.168.8.1 (google it as I do not remember).

    I’m not sure how and why it works, but it’s not because you set VLAN 11. Where did you find this information?

    I can confirm that without VLAN 11, at the time I configured my device, it did not work. I found the information in a post on a Swisscom forum. I cannot tell if it is still required.
