Retrieve emails locally

    • Hello community, I have a quick question:

    I would like to have locally, on my PC, a copy of my emails received & sent from my address XYZ@bluewin.ch.

    I installed Thunderbird which found a comfig corresponding to Swisscom.

    This allows me to access messages from my bluewin address. Cool 🙂

    The problem is that the subfolders and the messages contained in these subfolders are not seen by Thunderbird.

    Clearly, I can only retrieve the messages present “at the root” of my account.

    The aim of all this is to free up space because my inbox is saturated and therefore impossible to send & receive new messages BUT without losing my old messages sorted in the different subfolders.

    So my question is: How to configure Thunderbird so that it can also “see” subfolders and their messages.

    I hope I have been clear enough to allow you to possibly offer me a solution to this problem 😉

    Good morning,

    I installed Thunderbird yesterday and only 2 folders from my Bluewin account (created and displayed in the column on the left of the screen) are displayed on Thunderbird.

    How to copy the rest of the Bluewin folders into Thunderbird?

    Good morning,

    You need to update Thunderbird’s subscription to Bluewin files.

    Right-click on the account name in the left column to bring up the context menu. Choose the Subscribe entry.

    Select the folders you want to synchronize between Bluewin and Thunderbird. Unselected folders will remain invisible.
