Internet box Lan connection to the disk station

Hello,

I have just replaced my old Swisscom Motorola router with the Internet box.

WiFi, Swisscom TV and a network printer (LAN) work perfectly.

Only communication with the Synology Diskstation doesn’t work.

If I plug the disk station directly into one of the 4 LAN ports of the Internet box, everything is fine. However, when I plug the disk station into the network socket in another room using the house cabling (approx. 11 years), the LAN indicator on the disk station does not light up once.

I tried various rooms and it also worked with the old router.

Does anyone have an idea?

Dani

The Internet box has 1GB connections, could that be a problem?

Do you have the additional switch in between?

Installationen, Netzwerk, Internet, Computertechnik, OS Windows, Apple und Linux.

How could you try out the different LAN cables when wiring, assuming the installation goes from the Internet box via a distributor, or are the LAN cables directly from the Internet box into the individual rooms without an intermediate plug, I can’t imagine.

Can you post a photo of these connections in the individual rooms here in the community!
