Cancel Amazon Prime

    Can anyone tell me how to get out of Amazon Prime?

    I would like to cancel my subscription, which I activated via Swisscom.

    • If you pay your PrimeVideo via your Swisscom bill, go to Bills & Costs in Kundencenter, then to Swisscom Pay and then you can revoke the authorization to charge your SC bill in the Amazon Prime Video pull down menu - this will then cancel your account with Amazon Prime Video off.

      If you also set up an Amazon account when you activated it via Swisscom (I’m not sure if that’s necessary), try using the Prime Video website.

      Register via https://www.primevideo.com/ > select your profile at the top right if several are set up. > Then select “Account & Settings” > And then select “Cancel Membership”.

      Your Prime Video membership is activated via your Swisscom plan. Make changes to your membership via Swisscom.

        Canceling Amazon Prime is indeed a real challenge. I’ve had the pleasure of finding this well-hidden setting a few times.

        If the problem with the list below does not work, the best thing to do is to contact Amazon on 0800 74 00 20 or chat via the Amazon app to have customer service cancel.

        According to Amazon, proceed as follows:

        You can cancel your Amazon Prime membership at any time, including during your free period, in the Settings section under My Account.

        How to cancel your Amazon Prime membership:

        1. Go to Manage Prime Membership.
        2. Click Update, cancel and more and then click Cancel membership - forego benefits. Confirm your selection on the following screen.
        3. Select I’m giving up my Prime benefits and follow the steps provided to confirm your cancellation.

        I tried to go through the steps as recommended. However, the Prime Video subscription is not canceled under Swisscom Pay, but only the authorization to pay the monthly Prime contribution via the My Swisscom bill.

        How can I cancel the subscription now?

        If you want to unsubscribe from Prime Video (which you pay via your Swisscom bill): go directly to your mySwisscom Swisscom Pay overview and complete the payment for Prime Video there.         I canceled the payment approval in Swisscom Pay. There was no other option.

        The Swisscom entry has now disappeared.

        Amazon still says that the Prime membership was activated via a Swisscom plan and that I should arrange this with Swisscom.
