  • Hello @oOdietiOo

As long as all components in the playback chain (notebook, browser, docking station, cable, monitor) support the HDCP 2.0 copy protection standard, it should work.

If you use a Macbook, I recommend using Safari. Chrome and Firefox cause significantly more problems on Mac in combination with external devices.

    Greetings Samuel

  • Hello @oOdietiOo

Customers with Huawei Media Pad M5 Tablet cannot view DRM-protected content. An error message appears that does not allow paid content to be streamed to an external screen via HDMI. The design of the Huawei Mediapad M5 is such that the internal display is controlled via an HDMI interface. Therefore, due to hardware limitations of this tablet, you will not be able to watch all programs with the Media Pad M5 in the future.

    Greetings Samuel

  • Hi @oOdietiOo

We understand that the affected users are becoming impatient and yes, the topic has the necessary priority. As I said, it’s your turn and you’re trying to find a solution as soon as possible, even if the problem itself isn’t primarily caused by SC. I can’t go into any further technical details here because it makes no sense to break it down any further than described above.

If you also work in an area of IT where you have to pay high penalties for violating license rights, you may understand that the topic is a little more delicate than simply applying a workaround/fix, albeit temporarily, to make it work again. There are a number of different systems connected here, all of which are interdependent. It’s not just the Android client itself.

If there is any news, I will try to keep you updated here.

We apologize for any inconvenience caused.
