Swisscom TV App on Apple TV 4K

  • Good evening dear Community🙋‍♂️

    I’ve been having a lot of problems with the Swisscom TV app on Apple TV recently.

    1. most of the time I can’t pause the live programme.
    1. you can no longer rewind during live programmes, even though I have purchased the additional package.
    2. the Total skip advert is in the wrong place.
    3. if a programme goes on longer than usual with Replay, it just automatically skips to the live programme instead of simply continuing to play the programme that was running.

    Latest update on Apple TV and latest Swisscom TV app installed.

    Do you have any ideas?

    • Well, Swisscom could put more heart and soul into the blue TV app for the “non-Swisscom TV box platforms”.
      But it doesn’t, and hasn’t done so for several years, namely since these alternative technical platforms to the Swisscom TV boxes have been available for blue TV.

      In my opinion, customers only have the following options to positively influence this unsatisfactory situation:

      - you only want to use one set-top box and opt for either a Swisscom TV box with primarily blue TV, or an Apple TV box with the Teleboy TV app, which works much better on this platform (or its alternatives without blue TV)

      - you use several set-top boxes in parallel, i.e. the Swisscom TV box only for blue TV, and all other media streaming then e.g. with an additional Apple TV box

      PS: Incidentally, I use both set-top boxes in parallel myself, whereby I have also subscribed to both TV services (actually only for test purposes), i.e. both blue TV and Teleboy TV, which of course does not reflect the usual use case in practice 🙂
