When will swisscom provide modern 2FA?
Everytime one uses the App you have to 2FA via text message. I don’t see a way to disable it or change it.
Not sure how to get it on the swisscom devs backlog but fix authentication or hire someone who can.
2FA via text message is not secure, (admittedly not by the average joe but certainly by government actors)
If you actually care about security. 2FA via text is only good for the initial setup of an account but not for daily login (e.g. when you run around a foreign country)
Passkeys + biometrics or Authenticator Apps are much safer and ALSO a lot more convenient to use.
- with passkeys + bio being: no action required by user
- auth apps: at least don’t require phone signal to work, or having the phone, or using a sim card in a foreign country
Not that I am against 2FA but from this decade please.
