Good morning

I read everything straight away and just placed an order (as an exchange).

The specifications seem good. Let’s see how the thing performs in practice…

Let’s see if the backup of the IB4 is also compatible with the new IB5… I’ll “report” it then…

Rainy greetings

    Works great and yes, backup is compatible (as always). It’s basically the same software as all Internet boxes. Only Broadcom’s base operating system is a major version higher. Therefore Wireguard is now also possible. In the past, Swisscom has also regularly upgraded the basic operating system for existing boxes. So let’s see what this means for the IB3/4.

    I also ordered one straight away.
    Let’s see what WG can do with the IB5.
    Now please get a new wifi box so that there is wifi7 in the rest of the house 😉

    My Anschluss will be switched to fiber optic at the end of December and currently still have the Internet-Box 2 with q.fast. Do you already get the IB5?

    Good question - one that no one here can answer…

    You will see it then 😉

    The question is how quickly the associated processes will be adapted/converted and how many IB4s are still in stock….

    ….keep on rockin' 🤘🏼🤘🏼🤘🏼

    The best thing to do is to ask what Swisscom is offering you for “Guttis” when you extend the contract, 😀

    Hello @roman70

    Take a look => here

    With the blue Internet L subscription on Glasfaser you will receive the new Internet-Box 5 Pro worth CHF 349 free. Anyone who orders another internet subscription on fiber optic will continue to receive the Internet-Box 4. Existing customers with a fiber optic subscription can buy the Internet-Box 5 Pro with a loyalty discount of CHF 200 for CHF 149.

    Hmm, is this new now?

    the delivery note says:

    No return is possible if the original packaging is unsealed or opened or after 14 days have expired.

    In the past, you could also return opened items if you didn’t like them.

    @cybi

    Where did you read that?

    There could be a problem with a TV-Box because it is anchored in your own system, which is also a reason that you can no longer simply pass it on or sell it without contacting support.
