Automatic responses are managed with My Swisscom.
You have to go to the box settings and follow Manage automatic responses.
However, be careful with vacation announcements… and therefore absences from home.

Neldeilioff17 What is your inbox?, you asked for the out of office message in the email. Or do you mean something else? In this case, it should be clarified.

Whether you use the Mail application on your Mac, this is only done in your My Swisscom customer area. As @DanielD & @Gaeilgeoir have well described, just follow the instructions provided.

It is possible that the My Swisscom version is still the old one.
You have to look below where the email address is listed (using the pencil to change the password) and look for another entry point for the Settings (forwarding, auto-reply, …)
