So the UDM SE with an ALL-BM410 bridge from Allnet works perfectly on a Green.ch Fiber Anschluss.

The only thing that cost me nerves was getting the Swisscom registration page on the screen. This didn’t happen automatically and only when I reconnected to the WLAN, even though I was connected to the LAN the whole time.

But once I figured it out, it worked.

After registration there was an error message from the Swisscom registration page, but about 15 minutes later my Anschluss was up and running and has been working perfectly and without any interruptions since then.

I’m extremely satisfied.

    My connection is currently still on P2MP or XGS-PON, but apparently it will be converted back to P2P (AON) this year? Will the ALL-BM410 module then be superfluous?
    I got fibre optics when the house was built and all my neighbours have since been upgraded to P2P, but I was told when the neighbours were upgraded that my connection would also be converted.

      Siepiegreu83 You misunderstand P2P and P2M. Additional optical fibres are pulled to the central office so that every ISP can connect the customer directly (P2P). Regardless of whether XGSPON, BX (AON) or other technologies the ISP delivers to your home.

      Swisscom switches off BX (AON) bit by bit in the central offices if XGSPON is available.

      Swisscom will continue to build mostly XGS-PON, but in a legal design, Bakom-compliant.
      Note: P2P is also possible with XGS-PON. Only the position of the optical splitter is decisive:
      - Splitter in the building = no P2P possible = illegal
      - Splitter in the control centre = P2P possible = legal
      Both designs = XGS-PON

          Explained the other way round:

          P2P and P2MP are physical construction methods of the fibres between the central office and the end customer connection.
          With P2P, there is at least one private continuous fibre per individual customer between the customer and the central office, whereas with P2MP customers have to share fibres on the way to the central office.

          XGS-PON and AON (called BX at Swisscom) are pure transmission protocols, i.e. they determine the exact structure of the signal that is transmitted via the fibre, depending on the physical design:

          • with P2P construction, the provider can use either XGS-PON or direct AON at the centre
          • In the case of P2MP construction (now prohibited by antitrust law), only XGS-PON would have been technically possible, as with a shared medium with shared fibre on the “last mile”, all customers could only be served with a uniform standardised signal.

              Werner Then the splitter would have to be removed wherever the conversion is carried out so that my fibre goes directly into the central unit. Conversely, this means that if I can still find the ALL-BM410 somewhere, it will continue to work regardless of the conversion. As long as I stay with Swisscom after the upgrade, I could switch to fibre7, for example, and would then be connected P2P.

                  I am now also in possession of a GBIC - I bought the “Allnet ALL-BM410” this week and come from the Zyxel PM7300 bridge mode. As @bosi wrote - unplug the glass from the Zyxel - plug it into the ALL-BM410 - and wait.

                  What are your experiences with the temperature of the “ALL-BM410”?

                    I have exactly the same problem. Everything is set up and connected, and I’ve been assigned an IP address in the 100.x.x.x range.

                    The problem is that I just can’t get a connection to https://swisscom.ch/start - nothing happens.

                    What could be the reason for this, and does anyone here have any ideas on how I can solve the problem?

                    Do I need to clone the MAC address of my Internetbox 4 to get through?

                    I’m on a 10 Gbit/s line, if that’s relevant.
