Take over Bluewin Mail account (existing account)

  • A customer currently has her Swisscom Abo in a different account than her Mail light. She would now like her email address to be in the same Swisscom account as her subscription. How can you add a Bluewin Mail light to an existing account? I can only create a new email address in the account with the subscription

In the account with the current email in it, I only have the option to transfer the email address to another, new account, not to an existing Swisscom account like before

    Does anyone have a tip?

    Thank you

      Hello @NilsL
The form shown above is apparently used to check whether there is already a Swisscom login for this name. In the next step you will have the option to log in with a login.
But it’s all a bit confusing.

Take a look at the link below, maybe a solution.

    Hello @NilsL

    So there are 2 logins?

    1 login for the subscription

    1 login for the email

Correct? Then the easiest solution would probably be to contact support and have them merge the two accounts.

As far as I know, the process is not exactly the same, depending on whether the email address has already been transferred to the new email platform or not yet.

In any case, the function “take over email address” no longer works, you have to hand over the address.

So log in to the Swisscom login, where the email address in question is located and go to the email settings, then to “Send email account”.

    ….keep on rockin' 🤘🏼🤘🏼🤘🏼

@“x”#218712I did that some time ago, they didn’t know what to do, then 2nd level called back and said it had to work if the account with the internet subscription was no longer on the old mail platform (it was there until before A few days ago there was still a Mail Basic without any addresses in it, that has finally disappeared)

But apparently this only works with a new login. As I understood Nils, the login where the address should go already exists.

If you choose pass address you get:
      workspace 1_2251.png

I failed then too. The system wanted to create a new login. But I was able to take over the address with the other login. As is well known, the Apply function has now been switched off.

Strange that not even the 2nd level can help.

I would try that again, they should merge the 2 logins. This has to work if both logins have the same name.

@ThomasS can you say more about that? How do you pass an email address to someone who already has a MySwisscom login so that the address is included in the login?

@“x”#218712Exactly, I would like to transfer the email address to an existing MySwisscom account

I got as far as you did in the picture, but if I filled out this data it would simply create another new Swisscom account for me (right? I didn’t try any further then)

Otherwise I have to go through partner support again, the gentleman who originally handled the whole thing. It was very nice, but in the end it couldn’t help me and said that once the migration to the new platform for the account with the internet subscription was completed, it should work. The way I see it, this happened because the Mail Basic that was in this account (but had no email address in it) has now disappeared

Many thanks to everyone, especially @HP, the whole thing worked almost as described

You have to transfer the email address from the old account, enter any other email address that you have access to as the email address, then you will receive a link to this email address and you can then use this link in a browser in which you are connected to the new Swisscom account ( So insert it into the one you are logged in to and then click “Login” and then it works and automatically opens a mail light for the address to be taken over

So it’s a bit of a different process than before
