Zyxel GM4100 AN swisscom

  • Hello everyone

I tried to put the modem mentioned above into operation. I am repeatedly asked for an activation code because I don’t have it and Swisscom doesn’t know anything.

How should I proceed to get this router up and running? The plan would be for this to only provide the Internet for a Fritzbox. It has to be possible somehow?

    Thank you for the support

The modem you mentioned is a g.Fast Bridge.

To put it into operation, two requirements must be met:

      - You have a g.Fast-Anschluss

      - You must connect the modem on the LAN side to a router on which you have previously configured DHCP option 60 with the correct values for the Swisscom network

Assume the router is your Fritzbox, so you have to ensure the correct parameters for DHCP option 60 on the Fritzbox, because this is the only way you can get access to the Swisscom network and the correct registration mask for the Swisscom login

    Hello @Baholar47

Have you set the DHCP options that @WalterB linked to?

When you get to the activation page, it’s for a third-party ISP.

You should come to the login page.

But generally there is no special reason why you need a Fritzbox, you can also operate it behind the IB.

    Greetings Lorenz
