@Fleiprestauz28

The fact that the information is given in June and the old price runs until the end of August is no coincidence, because that means that every customer can still react within the normal notice period of 60 days at the end of each month, which does not give rise to an extraordinary right of termination.

Unless there is something different in the letter, which you will still receive, you should be able to cancel in June as normal at the end of August.

However, if there is still a landline number that needs to be ported, it is better to start this before the cancellation.

This corresponds to a 20% price increase! Instead of increasing the price, it is better to remove landline telephony from the offer or offer it as an option for 9.90. At least it would be fairer. With 50Mbit/s it will probably remain an empty promise again. Until now I had at best 2Mbit/s instead of 10Mbit/s upload, but always paid the full price.

The new Home Basic subscription is neither compulsory nor particularly attractive, as it is designed in a very minimalist way for just under 60 francs in the TV area.

Based on your previous Light subscription, you would find a significantly better price/performance ratio with the Swisscom discount brand “Wingo” or with Teleboy or with iWay for Internet and TV, or even for Triple Play including landline.

At the same time, you could use the checker to check what internet performance is technically possible at your location.

It’s all in your own hands to check all options for action for a price increase that will certainly be unexpected for you and then decide what’s best for you.

After tel. After consulting customer service, I will receive a credit note for 6 months because, despite changing my subscription, no higher speed is available at my address. Hopefully the fiber optic expansion should then be completed. Thanks to Ms. Sutter from Swisscom customer service! Friendly and uncomplicated!

@Schontaufe55 If you talk to support in a friendly manner, you can usually gain an advantage from a bad situation, as your experience shows.

Not only complaining here in the forum, but also doing something about it makes a difference, as you can see.

Thanks for sharing your experience with support.

Yes, effectively paying 20% more is suddenly too much, I want to say 10% is included, right? Swisscom???

Yes, if you talk to support you can definitely find a solution where both sides are satisfied. You can see this clearly in the example above. But please remember the saying when you’re on the hotline… Just as you call into the forest, the sound comes out… Then you can definitely get something out of it, even if the tone is hateful, there are constant accusations and the same spiel with every call As some users here in the forum say, you can forget about a discount straight away. Personally, I wouldn’t give it either if I’m honest.

Swisscom just couldn’t let it go, right?! And force customers to consume, consume and consume again. That’s all Swisscom has to offer instead of addressing customer needs. I was COMPLETELY SATISFIED with my inOne home light subscription. I’ve even had no need for telephony for years, even though I’ve always paid for it.

Shame, shame and more shame

I don’t agree with that

A better internet is of no use to me because the connection is outdated

I definitely won’t pay any more

Kind regards, H.Buob

We have internet here with up to 10 Mbit/s, on really good days like today an incredible 12 Mbit/s, but in the past there have also been periods with 7 to 8 Mbit/s, which roughly corresponds to the existing subscription, which is also included in the TV offer Due to the poor transfer rate, it cannot yet be used, but it is included as a service in the subscription!

The new subscription should now offer internet speeds of up to 50Mbit/s, which can never come close to being achieved due to the existing infrastructure.

I find this unwanted and forced subscription adjustment with a price increase of almost 20% completely abusive.

If there are alternatives, there is only one option: cancel all Swisscom subscriptions and switch to competing offers

Hi @Greippiopleub39

Yours too - what does the Checker say? If it says more bandwidth than you can achieve, something is wrong with your line.

If you don’t actually have a subscription anymore, I would either take the cheapest subscription you can find with a Swiss provider or consider alternatives (e.g. via satellite in LEO). .

The only real alternative would be a cable TV provider.

All other providers use the same copper cable as Swisscom and therefore cannot offer more speed…

….keep on rockin' 🤘🏼🤘🏼🤘🏼

Unfortunately, you can’t make a slow copper any faster, but it certainly has a better price/performance ratio than the blue product.

10 to 25 internet access with iWay or Teleboy ranges between CHF 27-33/month, plus if necessary also a landline (with/without flat rate) and of course optionally plus TV.

There have always been subscriptions that have changed.

But if you have a father with supplementary benefits in a retirement home, this subscription was ideal. So let’s just add 9.90 per month. Who in a retirement home needs this speed?

Do you think it’s a bit excessive to open up more and more, or does the Italian adventure have to be financed?

In any case, I have to tell my father about the books when I subscribe.

I was actually happy with Swisscom myself, but almost a year ago I went to the local electricity provider who built the fiber optic network WITH Swisscom.

Ten times the speed of Swisscom, for CHF 20 less per month. TV via Teleboy, which also works without any problems for a fraction of the price.

At some point the arguments for Swisscom will run out.

For everyone who somehow has an alternative for Internet, TV and telephone, there is only one solution: cancel with Swisscom immediately and change provider.

I find this unwanted and forced subscription adjustment with a price increase of almost 20% completely abusive.

In our region, most communities have joined the “Prioris” project, which means fiber optics for EVERY household in the community, not like with Swisscom, if at all, only in the towns, outside of the residential areas you are looking into the tube. In this way, Swisscom is scaring away more and more customers, and at some point it will no longer be possible to generate the same sales with fewer customers and exorbitant prices. In any case, I canceled ALL Swisscom subscriptions, i.e. inOne home light and all cell phone subscriptions.
